Music player and locked screen - iOS15

iOS 15.3 this issue is still occurring on my iPad mini 5. Press the home button to get to the Lock Screen and this pops up. Bluetooth is enabled but has never been used and has no devices memorized.

Same here. Have iOS 15.1, have tried turning Bluetooth off and I still get either music or Pandora on my Lock Screen even though both apps have been closed out. Have tried restarting phone. Nothing works. This has been less than 24 hours and it’s already super annoying. Help!

I just updated to 15.1 today and the music on Lock Screen started immediately. My music app is not open and I go in and close it and it still shows on Lock Screen. I have tried to restart. Turning off Bluetooth etc. this is super annoying since I cannot figure out how to clear this from my Lock Screen at all.

I am having the same issue ever since I updated to 15.1. The Apple play covers all of my notifications as it takes up the entire home screen so I cannot see them unless I scroll up and I used to be able to see them right there on the home screen without having to do that very annoying. Please fix this ASAP!!!

I am having the same issue..... And yes, I just got fitted for Phonac Bluetooth hearing aids....cannot get the music player off of my lock screen. Tried turning off 'notifications' in settings, but that did not work.

I have just upgraded to 15.1.1

This is silly. Can not get rid of playing on Lock Screen. Bluetooth off, music app delete, home control off, swipe right no edit button, search settings for widgets or Lock Screen. Spent 45 min on this and sill now playing is on the Lock Screen hasn’t bothered me till I tried to get rid of it.

apple has more bugs than a third world prison. The nonsense with a little ping from your Apple Watch and no sound from your phone for text message is stupid I have missed loads of messages with my phone right next to me

someone should remind Apple that this is how Nokia failed. People got sick of the nonsense. Mind you I expect they’re all too young to remember Nokia.

Yes it happened to me also and went away then again today my phone updated yesterday and today I used it in my car Bluetooth and when I got out it was on there. I have a apple iPhone XR it has been the worse phone I have ever had and I have att worse service I ever had and don’t think people can’t get into your apple account because they can I have changed my passwords about 100 times every other day my I phone says change passwords security breach well I have every security thing on my phone u can do so I don’t understand and I don’t get service anywhere hardly .not to mention who gets a friend request from theirself and is told it’s fine . And my map shows me in another country well I know I wasn’t in Nigeria today?? I told the guy on the line he was like hummmmm???? Well I can’t seem to find a problem I said well I didn’t think u was going to good bye

You are correct-it is not a permanent fix, but it fixes for the moment. I have filed with apple and they are escalating. I will have access to a direct link to a supervisor next time it occurs so they can delve into why it may be occurring and document how and when.

Similar situation - Is there a way to remove the Lock Screen Music widget all together? I can't stand that the widget is there when I'm driving and I'm obviously connected to and using CarPlay. What reason is there to show the widget when you're playing music on your dash?! @Apple please make it a toggle option to remove the widgit from being displayed.

I thought I was the only one having this issue with the music player showing on the locked screen. The iOS is on the latest version 15.3.1 It's really frustrating to see music player popping up every now and then.

I think it’s got something to do with YouTube. If I’ve watched something on there I have the problem but if I don’t look at YouTube for a few days it doesn’t happen so………

I have no idea how or why it happens it’s just something I noticed. A bug with YouTube maybe

Does anyone have a fax for this issue yet? I’m pretty sure I have the latest iOS, I think it’s 15.4.2, and the only thing connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth as my watch. I’ve tried swiping up to close all the apps, closing all the Safari windows, making sure that the music player is disabled for notifications, and turning Bluetooth off and back on again. The music player still shows up on my iPhone lock screen, even though there is nothing attached to the phone for it to play music on. I even checked it with Bluetooth disabled, and the music player still shows up on the lock screen. I only noticed this recently, but I don’t know what changed to cause the problem.

I’m glad that worked for you, but I don’t even HAVE the music app on my phone and it still comes up on my lock screen. But it’s good to know that Apple doesn’t even care to have one of their people monitor their Apple Support Community to find out where their errors lie.
