Consistent issues with dropped subtitles

Same issue when watching invasion. Japanese characters sometimes lose subtitles. On iPad Pro (2018) running all current updates

Same issue, Japanese translated subs - after 2mins drops out altogether. This is via the app on PS5.

I am using a Samsung tv and a PS4, and I am having problem with the subtitles in both. I am really thinking in cancelling my subscription because I am not able to watch a serie in a good way.

I’m watching Invasion and I am having the same issues, and I am watching on native Apple hardware (AppleTV 4K).

I’ve the same problem with Suspicion ep3.

On apple tv+ app on LG WebOS and with my iphone streaming on TV.

Setting subtitles on > off > on does not fixe the problem.

Very very annoying !

I am using the Apple TV+ app on a Fire Tv Stick, and the subtitles drop in and out throughout anything we watch on the service.

I have the same problem on Fire Tv Stick 4K Max, on MiBox S and on Philips tv with android.

It happens on at least The Servant, The After Party and Severance. For me it started one week ago.

Yes this is still happening after enabling and disabling the settings. I am using the integrated Apple TV app on my Samsung TV.

I tried that, as well as switching subtitle languages a lot. In the end no subtitles worked at all for a while.

It’s just fundamentally broken and none of these tricks should be required.

This bothers me too. I found a solution for this issue by terminating my AppleTV+ subscription. Why paying for something that does not work?

Same issue. This has gone on for months. Is there no fix in the works?

I am having this issue too. TCL Roku Tv with the Apple TV app, Pachinko TV show. This issue makes the show nearly unwatchable. I am surprised it is not fixed yet. 🤷‍♂️🫐🪴

Unfortunately, doesn't seem like this issue is getting any attention by Apple. I will add, the problem has most often occurred for me on my iPad Pro when I have tried to skip forward or back multiple times in the same episode. With Invasion, I paused multiple times to try and increase the screen brightness (a losing battle). After that start/stop/skip situation, the subtitles would completely crap out. Then I'd pause/rewind trying to get the subtitles back (selecting always on or recommended etc). Even force closing the app and restarting. The only solution was to give up and try another day. They *would be back on a follow up viewing.
