After upgrading my iMac to Monterey, I can't search for folders that are located in the Google Drive folder anymore. Searching does not work in Spotlight or in Finder search bar!! Help :(

Did you drag and drop the Google Drive folder into the System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy panel and then [ - ] remove it so Spotlight would index it (if it can at all)? Google may be at fault too.
Hey, I had the same issue. I enabled "spotlight integration" on google drive (app) preferences > settings
Sorry but I don't see it. Click Gdrive icron, it directly turns to Finder, no such magnifying glass icon just the spot icon for finder.
Can open Gdrive separately without using Finder?
No real fix yet ((
1. search works only in finder ( but with significant delay)
2. search from spotlight doesn't work
3. search from "save as" menu doesn't work ( the most painful issue for me )
This works for me for now. It's very slow.
I noticed this, too. But on mine it seems the search results does not return folders. Only files.
