13 pro max camera freeze

I bought my 13 pro max a couple weeks ago. Running iOS 15.4 and the camera is the worst I’ve experienced. The rear facing will work if it’s on that setting when I open it. But switching to front facing camera causes the screen to “flip” like normal, but never actually switches from what I can tell, because it’s just all blurry. And then it gets stuck and won’t switch back to rear facing until I close out the camera. Going to Geek Squad Sunday because Apple Support is no help. I know it’s not the lens because the front camera works perfect on instagram. Probably end up returning.

Yes same problem . The screen freezes n don’t take pics . Appears white blank photos On saved photos ! Very disappointed with the purchase .phone got serious hardware n software issues . Apple needs to do something soon !

My camera or any app that uses a the camera(snap chat) all freeze when I try to use it. Has been going on for 3 days, and no one seems to know if it’s hardware or software. So frustrating to pay for 13 Max Pro and have these problems.

Last night I was at wedding trying to take video and photos and it kept freezing. I had to close out the app and come back and still issues. It took a lot of white photos and videos. I see this has been happening for ages. How unfair they haven’t gotten this fixed!

My phone wasn’t hot at all. I just got my phone like 3 months ago. I called today and they asked me to do the latest update. There was nothing mentioned in that update about cameras. They said to do it and if I had an issue after that to call them. Hope it doesn’t continue!

The camera app on my new 6 months old iPhone 13 pro keeps on crashing every time I use the video mode on x0.5 (wide-angle). It worked fine for a couple of months but now it crashes all the time. It stops recording, the screen freezes, and stops. Also the camera app freezes even without recording. What should I do? I already did a reset of all my data (not a factory reset) and I even turned off iCloud for the photos.

I tested it with 2 other colleagues of mine that have the exact same iPhone 13 pro and they experience the same problem!!!

I have to use it professionally, so what should I do Apple?

I got this for my birthday as a present. And I feel terrible complaining about it but the camera issue is getting frustrating. I replaced the first one with my insurance and it’s happening again!

is this something that can be fixed with an update? I’m hoping so because I can’t afford another one :/

Initially I was disappointed at the lack of acknowledgment that there was an issue, but more recently there was an acceptance that the problem existed and that it wasn’t going to get solved by something hardware related. This being the case, I’ve got to trust that a software update will resolved this issue.

Same here. Latest software. I think hardware issue. And they are not admitting it. At least not yet…. Again. Will try to get to an Apple Genius Bar soon. See what they have to say.

Has this issue been resolved? Experiencing the same problem on iPhone 13 Pro Max running on iOS 15.3

Has anyone been able to fix this? Over $1000 for a device that doesn't work. I was sure an update to IOS would fix this, but no luck.

No luck. I think apple needs to do a recall.

Apple is apparently not doing anything at all.....very disappointed.
