IOS 15 glitches/bugs

Hi

since upgrading to ios15 i have had a couple of issues that i have been unable to resolve.

when using facebook, if i click on comments the screen freezes and i need to restart the face book app. I have tried enabling keyboards in the accessibility and this fixes this, but then i cannot use my Bluetooth keyboard which is a pain as the space bar is a control function when keyboard are enabled. Any ideas?
i now have these odd floating grey boxes which follow opened apps when i go to close them down, I’ve enclosed an image below.

I’d be grateful for any help or advice to resolve these. Many thanks 🙏

You need to update your Facebook app to version 346, which came out a few days ago. To see what you have now, go to settings > Facebook > version.

After doing that, turn Full Keyboard Access OFF.

(The problem you describe has been discussed here a few thousand times over the last 6 weeks. Search the forum for "Facebook" if interested.)

Hey there GarytheMoose, thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We see that you're experiencing a few unexpected behaviors with your iPad, and we'd be happy to help. Does this same behavior occur if you were to use Facebook through an internet web browser such as Safari?

Have you tried restarting your iPad yet? If not, we ask that you do so to help refresh the iPadOS software. Be sure to give it a minute or so before powering it back on: Restart your iPad - Apple Support

We also recommend that you check for and install any available updates. The latest version is iOS 15.1.1: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

We appreciate you reaching back out to us with this information. Just so that we're on the same page, this issue only occurs when tapping on the comments section of the Facebook app, and you're only able to correct this by using the built-in keyboard on your iPad. Hi James

thanks for your comments, Facebook through a browser is fine - i have already deleted & reinstalled the Facebook app, but same problem still.

I am on iOS 15.1 and have tried the old switch off and on again.

any other ideas gratefully accepted 😉

The app only freezes when i try to tap on comments. IF i then go into settings - accessibility - keyboards and then enable full keyboard access, the app doesn’t freeze. However, enabling full keyboard access includes control functions, so my external Bluetooth keyboard (its a Logitech slim folio keyboard & case) can’t be used.

You also seem to have missed the question around the grey floating boxes seen in the screen grab above…any ideas on that?

Also, just for clarity, I only have this problem on my iPad, not my iPhone 12 with the same apps.
