How can I back up my email?

Our office is transitioning to a new server and I need to back up that email account. I have been given instructions on how to back up to Outlook, but it looks like the instructions are for a windows computer. I am feeling so stupid, but I don't know how to back this one account up. I have all my emails synced to Outlook, but they tell me I still need to back everything up. Is there an easy way to do this? I was trying to use a Seagate back up drive, but I can't figure that out either. Can anyone give me some simple instructions, please. Guess I'm getting to old for all this.

My wife has a lot of critical emails she must never loose. I checked and found out that Time Machine does not backup email messages. So our solution was to purchase Carbon Copy Cloner which does backup her email messages. It also has additional valuable features that Time Machine does not have. The backing up is not a function of Outlook. Outlook's emails need to be backed up.

You can sync your mail thru iCloud to all your devices. The regular iCloud account only comes with 5 GB. that is for everything you have checked in iCloud. It you have a large email account, like 2 or more GB you might need to buy more space. Depending on how much space you are using at the moment. It starts at 50GB. Your welcome. Your Mac mini Could have software problems or not enough memory. If you would like help with that. You could post it in here and I or someone else would help you. If you download and run Etrecheck (which is free) It will give a report on the Mini's condition. Then you can add the report to your post, which would help us.https://etrecheck.com/. Thanks again Ginger. Fortunately I got the paid for version of Outlook downloaded last night and 🤞got my emails backed up. I am barely able to use the mac mini today, so I am definitely going to try to go to etrecheck.com and see if I can download it. It is just a mess this am. I really hope I can straighten it out. I didn’t know a laptop or desktop was going to be so important, or I would have purchased a laptop rather than the new iPad when my macbook pro and old iPad died.

I ran etrecheck and not sure how I can post the report, the important part. It appears the hard drive is failing, I thought malware, which could be handled, but if my hard drive is going, I'm up a creek. It would cost me well over $100.00 to send it back to the U.S. then the same to get it back to me plus the cost of repair. I'm so disappointed, this has never been used alot, plus the fact my old iPad died, my macbook pro died right after that, and now this. Unfortunately, my macbook ran well, it was the video part that died and I left it with apple since that could not be replaced. But I could have connected it to my screen and used it. What hindsite. My husband has pretty much all older stuff, iPhone, iPad and all work great. There isn't anything I can do to keep the hard drive from failing from here is there? I'm really upset with myself for never taking it back and into apple when I traveled back, as this has been going on since I plugged it in the first time, but it's way out of warranty.

It said I could not post the whole report, but I think it is all here. I hope there is a glimmer of hope to do something to keep this running for a while.

Sorry to hear your drive is failing. There is a work around you could use. Do you have an external drive that has enough space to clone you internal drive to. If so, you could use Carbon Copy Cloner to duplicate your internal drive and then startup by holding down the option key and selecting the external drive. This would give you a working computer/operating system, even if your internal drive stops working completely. Have a link for replacing the hard drive. but you may think it to hard for you to do. But it starts out with cloning the drive.

I dohaveaSeagatebackup,butneedtocheckifit's1TGor2TG. Wasn't letting me use spaces between words. I will check that, and as for a drive, there are tech people here that could probably do that for me if I can get another one. In the meantime, it doesn't really matter if my back up is only 1TB, as I wouldn't be using it all anyway? I never used even half of the1TB on here. I would love to replace the hard drive if not too expensive. I can't afford to replace anything else right now. New iPad and phone is it.
