iphone 12 won’t wireless charge but iphone se will

i have an iphone 12 pro max that refuses to wireless charge even with NO case. I have a work phone that is an se (much older style) with the THICKEST case made (otterbox) and it charges IMMEDIATELY using my trucks incorporated shelf charger and my aftermarket charger.

I have the latest software and I’ve done the power cycle and factory reset so do NOT suggest those.

Since this is OBVIOUSLY a problem with the phone’s design and since this is such a common complaint apple should refund the full purchase price of this phone for everyone who has one

Is there any accidental damage to the iPhone 12 Pro Max you're attempting to charge?

If not, are you attempting to charge using a Qi-certified charger? You can find a list and helpful information here: How to wirelessly charge your iPhone

"Charge wirelessly

Connect your charger to power. Use the power adapter that came with your accessory or a power adapter recommended by the manufacturer.
Place the charger on a level surface or other location recommended by the manufacturer.
Place your iPhone on the charger with the display facing up. For best performance, place it in the center of the charger or in the location recommended by manufacturer.
Your iPhone should start charging a few seconds after you place it on your wireless charger."
