Kept receiving "A password reset request was sent from a device at the location shown below'

This just happened to me as well. I clicked it wasn't me that I didn't request the change and it still prompted me to change my password. So, I did. Definitely concerned.

Same here - haven't had a notice in quite a while.... fingers crossed.

I also didn't do anything other than ignore them.

It disappeared after a full restart of the iMac and the iPhone I changed the password on, so maybe try that?

I’ve been getting this message since 7/9/22. I reset my iCloud password on 7/11. The issue seemed to go away until 7/14. I’ve had all devices in my possession.

I didn't lose an iPhone or any device, but I started getting this notification on my Apple Watch and via SMS and via my apple computer(s). Sounds like there is a security issue?

Ive been getting this for a couple weeks now on my iMac... same here, nothing stolen. My AID is a gmail address - really hate to change my id if not needed.

Seems weird no official Apple response to this - clearly a security issue.

Same Issue. has anyone reached out to Apple Support? Is everyone using the latest version of Mac OS or on an older one? It's weird I'm getting this on my MacBook, but not other devices (iPhone, etc). Wondering if others experiencing the same.

I am getting the same message on my new studio Mac. I have several apple machines including a watch and iPad and none have been stolen. This message only appears on my studio Mac and it says some one from this location sent a password rear request. This is happening multiple times a day. It’s frustrating and concerning

I don't know why, exactly, mine stopped, but it has. Of its own accord. The alerts for me lasted about 4 days, and are now gone. I didn't do anything. Just wanted to offer some hope to those here that there is evidence that they will just stop after a while. I hope it's the case for all here.

Still happening to me for the past 2 months. Every time I log in to my MacBook Pro 14, I get the notification that a password reset has been requested from a location, but when I click "show," it does not show the location. So irritating. I've changed my password, I haven't lost any devices, and this only happens on my Mac, not my iPhone or iPad.

Now it started happening to me as well. It was weird bc I needed a whole pw reset for my Mac yesterday and after also changing my Apple ID password this popup startet showing up after logging in.

Still in hope it'll go away and or apple fixes this.

I keep getting the same message - I have an iPhone and two Macbooks. I recently lost my Airpods, and after not finding them within a week, I put them in "lost mode". The messages started when I found the Airpods, and took them out of lost mode. The first time I received it, I changed my password. Now it's just annoying because it happens almost everyday!!

I guess add me to the list of people having this issue. To boot, when I try to do 2fa, I get a popup asking if I'm OK with a device at some location logging in, and the location is not where I am. I tried it twice and it's definitely caused by me trying to authenticate, but hte location is incorrect. Then I found another apple support page saying that the location can be your network location not physical so if it's you, go ahead and hit allow? The location it's showing is 500 miles away. This is an absolute mess.

Getting the same thing on the same day as you, oraclevjanet. If it's phishing, they are persistent.
