ios 16 photo import to Mojave

Anyone else experiencing the same problem trying to import photos to MacOS Mojave (10.14.16) form iOS 16? On plugging in my iPhone, I was asked to update iTunes (done) and restarted iTunes, but I get an error message "The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9956.)" and no images can be imported.

This will be problematic if I can't offload photos into my Mac!

Confirmed it’s a known problem and it’s been fixed in 16.1. The fix has been confirmed by developers in the 16.1 seed builds.

Do you have a source for this or just your own claim?

Ok, so you are not a Windows enthusiast. Good. You just like to install and run Windows on a Mac. I’m not in the habit of feeding trolls on the internet, but I’m just going to paraphrase you here, so we can have a better picture of what you are and how you’ve been trying to move everyone away from the issue posted here and the solution already present in 16.1B (aka the Test version). As someone mentioned in a deleted thread that mentioned the B version, there is no reason to believe the solution won't be present in the official release. So now for anyone who hasn’t read this thread in full, here are some of your so-called "well-said “pearls of wisdom”:

  • “the person who keeps promising 16.1 is just some wanna be programmer at apple”
  • “It's obvious that all the real programmers left apple and I wouldn't be surprised if they started their own app development company”.
  • “When 16.1 comes out, I'm sure someone will write "16.2 SHOULD fix the problem”
  • “Windows 10 is the solution and 16.1 is just a carrot on a stick that some donkey is holding out to you to drag you along”.
  • “there's a big difference with Apple being run when Steve Jobs is around and when he's not.”
  • “In the end, Windows 10 is the solution. A competitor is the solution. Hahaha.”
  • “I am missing my Android now. That was so simple with zero restrictions and everything worked. It was a $150 ZTE Blade phone btw. I guess apple needs to hire some real programmers.”

Just a few of your comments. I could keep going but I know better. And ok, you are not a Windows/Android enthusiast. You don’t love overdramatizing, either. Nice. Kudos to you.

Yes. I'm venting considering how much an iphone costs and just saying that cheaper phones do not have this issue.

Android phones are like Windows computers, they should be the ones having issues because there are many hardwares on a phone or PC that wouldbe used to run Windows or Android.

Macs are develop just one hardware to run their OS, so it would minimize errors.

I have a software development QA background, that's why I wrote to inform others to not assume a new version will fix bugs unless it's stated in the "Release Notes."

I'm not a part of this weak cancel culture so I'll post things as direct as they get. I'm not a part of that fake crowd as you can see.

Cheers.
