Since updating my iphone to ios16 I cannot import my photos on my iMac

I have an iPhone 11 pro which I have just updated to ios16. Since doing this I cannot import my photos into the Photos app. (iMac 2011 running High Sierra)

I get the following message for each photo and video:

"Some items cannot be added to your Photo library because they may be an unrecognizable file format or the file may not contain valid data." then the name of the file "IMG_xxxx.HEIC (IMG_xxxx.HEIC)" and then the reason "The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9937.)"

I vaguely recall having this issue when I first got this iPhone, but I cannot remember or find any details on how to correct it.

All help/guidance/suggestions welcome.

It works fine on Catalina on my MacBookAir.

It doesnt work with High Sierra on my iMac.

Same iPhone XS both cases.

this still hasn't been fixed after 1 month. is iCloud subscription the only way to go?

Hi,

Since I migrated to iOS 16.1, I have no more problems.

Everything is back to normal.

I think you have another problem ?

16.1 Works like a charm with High Sierra, at last !

I can transfer my photos to my iMac again, 2 months worth waiting
