Hey there sagarshah1983,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, have you ensured that all the settings for the apps are set up correctly using the 'Related Article', Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support that was shared on this thread?

For this particular issue, we'd recommend ensuring that you have a notification sound selected for the apps you're not hearing notifications for using the steps under the "Change alert styles " section.

Change alert styles
1. Go to Settings and tap Notifications.
2. Select an app under Notification Style.
3. Under Alerts, choose the alert style that you want. If you turn on Allow Notifications, choose when you want the notifications delivered—immediately or in the scheduled notification summary.

With iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 or later, you can turn on Critical Alerts for supported apps so notifications come through even if your iPhone is muted or you have a Focus set up.

If still having issues, we'd also recommend checking for any Focus features that may be enabled and preventing notifications from being received as expected. For help with checking your Focus settings, check out this next link here: Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Keep us updated on the results.

Have a great day!

Seconded, the camera issues are still not fixed and this is the entire reason I upgraded from my iPhone XS. The camera on that old thing was 100 times better! I’m seriously so disappointed. This is not a cheap phone and it’s clearly software related bugs especially with camera and photo processing. The photos are absolutely garbage. Worse than phones from a decade ago. I actually can’t use them without heavy editing and even that doesn’t take away the worst of it.

waaaaay high contrast, way more warmth even than apple is “known for” and photos are so colourful people look wrong. Especially indoors, it’s like using cheap nasty social media filters.

Hi. Yes. Just got the iPhone Max Pro and although the notifications are sounding, the sound level is way too low. Paid a lot for this phone. In fact I’ve used Android forever and finally made the switch. On the whole it’s a great phone, but I can’t seem to get the notifications to a level that’s productive. I’ve discussed this issue with Apple employees and at this point I’m hoping an OTA fix is en route or else I’ll have to head back to android.

I wonder why Apple Support is no longer responding? I also just got my 14 Pro Max this month and have been experiencing a few odd issues that I initially dismissed. I even rebooted my phone a couple of times thinking that was the issue. But then today, while I typically don’t have my text notifications audible, I needed it today and was shocked to see they don’t work and got on Google to search for answers. I’ve also noticed that when I’m connected to Car Play that my voice either isn’t detected or it misses many of my words. Also, “Hey Siri” doesn’t always work (doesn’t hear me?). What the heck!? I eagerly upgraded from iPhone 12 ProMax and I honestly think it was a superior phone in many ways. I’m disappointed to read how many have reached out to Apple Support and have gotten no answers.

BTW- the Bluetooth setting turned OFF did actually allow my text notifications to be audible when my phone was locked. But I don’t want to leave the Bluetooth off with my watch, speakers, etc.

Anyone else having issues with the phone not “hearing” you or Siri not responding consistently to “Hey Siri”?

The solution is to not use your bluetooth OR watch? Seriously? Personally I don't have a VPN so that's definitely not causing it for me on my 14 pro, but this didn't used to happen on my XS when paired with Apple watch 4 - they worked together without issue at all for notification sounds.

My Siri is doing the same as yours, it's extremely buggy, the wrong one activates regularly (i.e. phone will when watch is the only one close enough to hear what I'm saying), mis-hears me WAY more frequently etc. I did get some improvement when I downloaded a new siri voice in another accent, then went back to my original voice, I found that tip online and it did help a bit.

Anyone have a fix on the camera over-contrast and over-colourisation issue? Or third party apps being unable to focus? Camera issues are making my iphone 14 pro practically unusable, the photos are so bad, I have to heavily retouch each one and even then, the over-processing still makes it almost unfixable without taking it to photoshop or similar. Keen for a solution.

I have been an iPhone user since it first came out, no one could convince me of changing to any other model until the iPhone 14 pro max . It is getting frustrating with all the Bluetooth notifications problems. The latest is the Bluetooth in my car. Now it goes in and out, I have the car connect to the Bluetooth and then it goes out and comes back. If you are talking on the phone via Bluetooth in my car and having a conversation the Bluetooth connection goes away. You see the Bluetooth icon go in and out. Now this beside the concern I posted about the notification sounds a few months ago, there is something totally wrong going on with this new version. I hope apple is reading all this and find a fix soon.

Just got a new iPhone 14 and I’m not receiving sound notifications from a couple of specific apps, namely YouTube and DoorDash. I’ve spent several hours on the phone with Apple Support over the past 4 days. All of them checked, double checked, and triple checked all of my settings; all correct. We even did a remote factory reset to wipe everything, including the IOS software off the phone, and reinstalled it. Not only do I still not have sound notifications, but now I’ve lost badge notifications for the Locals app. Before I got my iPhone 14, I had a similar problem with the iPhone 12. On that phone, I never received sound notifications for YouTube. DoorDash sound notifications did work…for about a year. All of a sudden, DoorDash sound notifications just stopped working. I can’t remember if it was after a software update or not, but it’s clear that this is an Apple problem, not a settings problem, and not a problem with the third party application software, which is what they’re now using as their excuse. Apple Support has said they’ve done all they could do, and I should contact the app developer. Yeah right. This is beyond frustrating. These phones are too expensive for them to be malfunctioning with something that should be so simple.

I've also been experiencing the identical problem with audio notifications occurring only when the screen is active on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I've been an iPhone user since the 5s so I'm very familiar, as others are, with how to set up the device to deliver constant and reliable audio notifications. There are enough users in this thread and around the internet, complaining about this situation, to make it clear that it is not a hardware or user problem, but a software bug. The disappointing thing about all of this is that it's now 6 months since users have been asking Apple for a fix and they've done nothing more than repeatedly recommend adjusting the phone's settings. Come on Apple, you can do better. Help us.

It appears that the IPhone Pro Max does not play nicely with the Watch 8. Others with YEARS of Iphone experience, (infact with the same Iphone) have confirmed my Iphone setting and still WHEN THE PHONE IS LOCKED, THERE IS NO SOUND NOTIFICATION WITH TEXT MESSAGES. THIS IS MY WORK PHONE AND I HAVE MISSED IMPORTANT TEXT MESSAGES BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT.
