Hey there sagarshah1983,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, have you ensured that all the settings for the apps are set up correctly using the 'Related Article', Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support that was shared on this thread?

For this particular issue, we'd recommend ensuring that you have a notification sound selected for the apps you're not hearing notifications for using the steps under the "Change alert styles " section.

Change alert styles
1. Go to Settings and tap Notifications.
2. Select an app under Notification Style.
3. Under Alerts, choose the alert style that you want. If you turn on Allow Notifications, choose when you want the notifications delivered—immediately or in the scheduled notification summary.

With iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 or later, you can turn on Critical Alerts for supported apps so notifications come through even if your iPhone is muted or you have a Focus set up.

If still having issues, we'd also recommend checking for any Focus features that may be enabled and preventing notifications from being received as expected. For help with checking your Focus settings, check out this next link here: Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Keep us updated on the results.

Have a great day!

I agree. We pay big bucks for Apple products, and I am really unhappy with my phone. The only reason I stick with their products is because my husband learned how to use the iPad and he’s not real savvy with electronics. So he doesn’t want to learn any other product. But I guess Samsung has their problems too. As soon as I can upgrade, I’ll get rid of my iPhone.

iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 16.5 Bought May 23rd 2023, USA to upgrade

Does not make a sound when receiving a text.

However, it will ring when receiving a phone call.

I have tried turn blue tooth off, reboot IPhone, turn blue tooth back on it lasts for a day then

back to no sound when I receive a text.

Kind of the same thing iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 16.5 does not make a sound when receiving a text.

It sounds as if you have a very different problem than the subject of this thread. It will be more polite to the original poster (and the others who have the same problem) and you'll get more and better help if you start your own thread.

I have the same issue, although my phone was providing audio notifications up until a day or so ago and then stopped altogether. The only thing that changed on the phone was a recent update from Apple. I do not receive an audio ring for incoming calls, no audio notifications for outgoing or incoming emails, texts or calendar alerts even though those have been set the same for months. When I check the settings for volume, the audio for incoming calls plays, so the problem is in the speakers. I have shut down the phone 3 times now and nothing has changed.

This is what always happens, one person thinks that solves the problem, so they close the discussion. That’s why I keep trying to get an answer. My Phone is NOT paired to my watch. Bluetooth is off, and has been off. In the past, I have literally been looking at my phone and watch a banner pop up which said paraphrasing here cause it’s been a while, “going into silent mode”.

I have the same trouble and it is clear that the problem is with the software, but not with the phone settings, sometimes I’m getting sound notifications and sometimes not at all, so random.

Apple technicians, pls stop asking us to check our phone settings or suggesting flip the side mute switch, this is not our first iPhone. Tried re-boot, turn on/off blue tooth, works sometimes and other times not. Very frustrating...
