Apple pencil lag and handwriting looks glitchy with M2 ipados16

Having just purchased the latest iPad pro 12.9 and a new Gen 2 Apple pencil for a considerable cost, I am incredibly disappointed that the handwriting is so much worse than my old Gen 1 iPad Pro and pencil. My handwriting in Goodnotes is squared off and this takes a lot of the joy out of using these devices. :(

I just purchased a 12.9” M2 and I have the same issue. I also have 4 older iPads that my employees use and I was about to replace them with new M2 models but I’m not purchasing anymore until I’m certain Apple is going to fix this issue.

I purchased the iPad Pro 12.9" 6th Gen - for the specific main purpose of writing - and it is like a child's bad handwriting - this is ridiculous for the cost of this work tool - surely there will be a fix?

I have the same problem, especially in third-party applications like Notability and GOOD NOTES...I'm afraid we should notify them direct,entity about it so they will make an update

I think Apple might have to announce a product recall or just come out with the subsequent iPadOS 16.2 updates to fix this ridiculous problem.

Same problem with new M2 iPad Pro 12.9.

Lines and hand writes is very shaky.

WHY IS THIS ISSUE NOT FIXED OR KNOWN YET APPLE?!

It helps with the dark mode but it is not like it use to be

Same issue :( I just upgraded my 4th gen iPad Pro 12.9 to the M2 iPad Pro 11” and having this issue is terrible.

Thank good, it's not just me. I was going mental about it, and couldt understand what was going on, was it settings etc.

Perfect description, my handwriting is squared off as if it does what it wants with my handwriting. Hopefully next update does something since the Genius was no help and tried blaming my paperlike.
