Hi Sun-India,
Have you tried the latest (21 Oct 2022) drivers from Canon?

(-> Drivers -> Compatible Operating System macOS 13)
If necessary, reset the printing system and re-add the printer:

Hi rlabby,
Albeit not mentioned in the latest About AirPrint - Apple Support, the following models from the MG3200 Series were listed as supported in the July 01, 2022 (en-us) edition of the same article:
This should mean that it may be worth checking whether the driverless AirPrint technology would work with your printer and macOS 13 Ventura. This provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

You could test the AirPrint ability via an iPhone or iPad.

What system did you update from? Have you tried this: Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem - Apple Support
According to this Apple document, the Canon TR8620 is AirPrint compatible. Therefore follow the instructions in Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem - Apple Support
I spoke to Canon and they said to try the Catalina drivers, this didn't work so on a hunch, I downloaded the Mac OS 10.14 Mojave and my Pixma IX6550 printer is now working perfectly.

Upgrade to Ventura. Now my HP printer will not work and can't re-load software. Going to buy a new printer. Which HP .. replacement ink plan will work with Ventura?
Any printer listed in this Apple document, About AirPrint - Apple Support, will work with Ventura.
Hi,
There is one very simple solution for printer Canon Pixima MG2950
If you using iMAC with Mac OS Ventura 13.4, try to change the printer USB port and of course, update system and drivers.
Mac OS Monterey CUP drivers works for me and second USB port from right to left when you stand infront of computer ;).
First USB on the right is for charging too :)
P.S.
I use iMac2017 and latest Ventura 13.4
and this driver:
Good Luck to all !
Thank you! I removed my printer from the computer and re-added it, for some reason it now works. Special thanks to all of you for your help.
Hi pdw47,
The Brother HL-L2390DW is an AirPrint printer. It should work with macOS 13 Ventura for printing without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). See also my first reply on page 1.
If Image Capture (Scan images in Image Capture on Mac – Apple Support (UK)) is not suitable for scanning with your printer, you could check whether Brother iPrint& Scan (https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hll2390dw_us&os=10077) can be used, or if the third-party (commercial) VueScan (https://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/brother_hl_l2390dw.html#technical-information) would be of interest.
Sorry, but that is just not enough information in order for us to be able to assist you with a potential solution.
For example, which exact printer (make & model) do you have? What have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this so that we don't offer potential solutions which may not have already worked for you?
Hi Jackiejane,
Please start a new thread/question/topic. Click on the Ask the Community link on top of this page.
Inside an existing thread, your question will not get the attention it deserves.
Also, in many cases an old printer can be made to work even with the latest macOS versions. So, in your question, do not forget to mention the exact HP printer model that you have now.
As I said, you don't necessarily need Airprint (assuming you use e.g. USB cable connection), you do need a recent driver from the printer manufacturer though. At least that worked for me. Better check with HP you've got the most recent one. And if it predates Ventura, you may be out of luck...
I do sympathize, it infuriates me that updates should create such fundamental issues. I spent hours, or days perhaps, trying to get my Mac and printer on speaking terms, and I was 80-90% succesful. I lost some functionality for no obvious gain. My printer is 'old' but there's nothing wrong with it. Buying a new one would mean unnecessary waste at a price of 1200 euros.
Maybe it's time to try VueScan. One time purchase only for the Pro version.
Hi Midnight Blues,
If you start a new thread (topic), this issue with the HP ENVY Photo 6255 All-In-One Printer (also an AirPrint model, thus hardly obsolete) will get the attention it deserves. That is, if you still have the printer.
Hi marysplacestudio,
Which exact Canon model are you using?
It seems to be a handshaking problem as I printed on an epsom WF- printer using an old mac using Yosemite operating system and had the printer page open for my computer with the ventura system and had the printer deleted . to my surprise the wi fi printer name suddenly appeared in the list of available printer in the dialog box and I was able to print from it. The change is not permanent so if I want to print from my computer with the Ventura system I have to start up my old machine to enable printing.Just turn on the 8 year old mac to enable printing on the new ventura machine.Hope this gives a lead for someone to sort it out.
