Hi Sun-India,

Have you tried the latest (21 Oct 2022) drivers from Canon?

(-> Drivers -> Compatible Operating System macOS 13)

If necessary, reset the printing system and re-add the printer:

Hi rlabby,

Albeit not mentioned in the latest About AirPrint - Apple Support, the following models from the MG3200 Series were listed as supported in the July 01, 2022 (en-us) edition of the same article:

  • Canon MG3210
  • Canon MG3220
  • Canon MG3230
  • Canon MG3240
  • Canon MG3250
  • Canon MG3255
  • Canon MG3260
  • Canon MG3270

This should mean that it may be worth checking whether the driverless AirPrint technology would work with your printer and macOS 13 Ventura. This provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).

You could test the AirPrint ability via an iPhone or iPad.

Hi,

There is one very simple solution for printer Canon Pixima MG2950

If you using iMAC with Mac OS Ventura 13.4, try to change the printer USB port and of course, update system and drivers.

Mac OS Monterey CUP drivers works for me and second USB port from right to left when you stand infront of computer ;).

First USB on the right is for charging too :)

P.S.

I use iMac2017 and latest Ventura 13.4

and this driver:

Good Luck to all !

Hi pdw47,

The Brother HL-L2390DW is an AirPrint printer. It should work with macOS 13 Ventura for printing without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). See also my first reply on page 1.

If Image Capture (Scan images in Image Capture on Mac – Apple Support (UK)) is not suitable for scanning with your printer, you could check whether Brother iPrint& Scan (https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hll2390dw_us&os=10077) can be used, or if the third-party (commercial) VueScan (https://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/brother_hl_l2390dw.html#technical-information) would be of interest.

Sorry, but that is just not enough information in order for us to be able to assist you with a potential solution.

For example, which exact printer (make & model) do you have? What have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this so that we don't offer potential solutions which may not have already worked for you?

Inside an existing thread, your question will not get the attention it deserves.

Also, in many cases an old printer can be made to work even with the latest macOS versions. So, in your question, do not forget to mention the exact HP printer model that you have now.

As I said, you don't necessarily need Airprint (assuming you use e.g. USB cable connection), you do need a recent driver from the printer manufacturer though. At least that worked for me. Better check with HP you've got the most recent one. And if it predates Ventura, you may be out of luck...

I do sympathize, it infuriates me that updates should create such fundamental issues. I spent hours, or days perhaps, trying to get my Mac and printer on speaking terms, and I was 80-90% succesful. I lost some functionality for no obvious gain. My printer is 'old' but there's nothing wrong with it. Buying a new one would mean unnecessary waste at a price of 1200 euros.

It seems to be a handshaking problem as I printed on an epsom WF- printer using an old mac using Yosemite operating system and had the printer page open for my computer with the ventura system and had the printer deleted . to my surprise the wi fi printer name suddenly appeared in the list of available printer in the dialog box and I was able to print from it. The change is not permanent so if I want to print from my computer with the Ventura system I have to start up my old machine to enable printing.Just turn on the 8 year old mac to enable printing on the new ventura machine.Hope this gives a lead for someone to sort it out.
