Where’s the option to enable it ANYWAY?
I specifically bought this iPhone for the ALWAYS ON Display, obviously Apple doesn’t actually “know” when I don’t need it - because I keep noticing it being turned off when I wanted it on! Which is, ALWAYS!!
there is no fix its been driving me mad for ages think its only on 14 pro max have tried all fixes posted nothing works just have to wait for apple to fix
don’t bother i restored mine still doing it
That’s disappointing. Thanks for letting me know!
Same here. Like you’re using my iPhone 14 pro max.
so, what do you think, is it software or our phones?
I’ve done a hard reset twice. Months apart. Worked both times. Had to Google it though to make sure I was doing it right.
The software!
With iOS 16.6 my AOD is not staying on AT ALL—not even for a few minutes. I have tried the usual things—force restart; toggling it off, restarting, and toggling it back on.
Today the AOD is working. I think Apple is employing a very imprecise algorithm to determine whether to remain on or turn off. It’s annoying. If I’ve enabled AOD, the display should remain on.
Thanks. I’ll provide the feedback to Apple. Unfortunately, asking Siri for the time would wake up my wife and the dogs. ;-)
That could indeed be a problem. I have no spouse and the cats don't care.
Nevermind. My iPhone AOD just turned off while I was not wearing my Apple Watch.
I’m on a cruise, and to use their Wi-Fi I had use airplane mode. For the first time since getting my iPhone 14 Pro Max, my screen display has stayed on 24 7.!!!!
My phone is in airplane mode when I am at home, and the display still turns off.
So far with iOS 17 the AOD of my iPhone 14 Pro Max has remained on. I completely restored my phone and did not restore from backup.
After updating to iOS 17.0.2 — and it may be coincidental — my AOD will not remain on. Now I’m getting angry.
