Thank you for the photo.

A. A Pixelation Error:

Seeing these square, my assumption is that this is a pixelation error. Contact Apple Support about getting this service. These are just user-to-user forums. Unfortunately, no one here has and calls in replacements. So, see what they have to say on this. See my below Two User Tips --something I think you will find helpful when calling them.

B. My Two User Tips:

Screensharing with the Apple Rep:

To easily troubleshoot this over the phone with the Apple Rep, screenshare the camera of your iPhone and/or that of your Mac. Ask a friend, or family member if you may use their phone or Mac, if you do not have one handy. This is allow the App Rep to see this upfront and firsthand, from your perspective.

Thank you for the screenshot.

My mistake: A photo is what I should have requested. Can you provide a photo of the white screen (not a screenshot)? Point out where this is with a red-colored rectangle.

Based on Personal Experience...

Getting the Screen Replaced:

As for getting this serviced, do you have AppleCare+ with this? Apple gives you a one-year, out-of-the-box limited warranty for defective items. Either way (warranty-covered or not), have Apple perform the replacement. If there are no nearby stores, or if you cannot get to one on your own, then have Apple ship you a box. You'd ship it to them, and they include instructions of what to do before sending it in. During the days of COVID, I had to send in my laptop 11 times, due to a loose connection between the LogicBoard and the screen. Being an absolutely defective device(nothing on my part), and patient, Apple gave me a free $2,500 USD upgrade, for just the price of the AppleCare+ I purchased with it.

First, Try Activating a Chat Session:

  1. Go to: getsupport.apple.com
  2. Select: Music, Apps & Services
  3. Select: iTunes Store
  4. Select: Subscriptions & Purchases
  5. Select: View, change, or cancel subscriptions
  6. Select: No Thanks. Continue.
  7. Click: Chat

If a Chat does not Activate, Call Apple Phone Support:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there as Necessary
  • What the Wait?: It may take a while to get through to Apple Support. And that makes sense because many are at home at the moment working out of the house or taking classes at home (due to the Coronavirus Pandemic), thus giving them more time to contact Apple Support. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Thank you for the screenshot.

Please Provide a Whit-Screesnot:

Before making the assertion that this is a hardware error and that the pixelation is damaged: When I zoom in on your second screenshot, Is can see dots going at right angles (perpendicular lines).*** Can you please provide what this looks like with a white background? That would most certainly help, too, for comparison and troubleshooting. If it is in the white background, then it's a pixelation error, and you should get this screen replaced.

You are most welcome. Let us know how it end up working out. Keep in mind what mentioned in my User Tips about hovering your iPhone's camera over this to show it to them them. Enable speaker phone and open the Camera app when hovering over the screen.
