Just to be clear, you did this:

  • Opened the Settings app
  • Tapped on Screen Time and logged in if it has a passcode
  • Tapped on Content & Privacy Restrictions
  • Scrolled down to Allow Changes
  • Tapped on Passcode Changes
  • Changed the setting to Allow

If that does not resolve the problem you probably have either Parental Controls enabled on your device (possibly from a parent’s phone), or you have a work or school email account on your phone and the administrator has blocked changing the passcode.

Hi

Face id & password are not in settings.

I’ve followed all instructions many times.

restrictions enabled/ but doesn’t ask for passcode.

I’m sure I used one. Then, there is no place to change anything as was suggested.

  • Tapped on Content & Privacy Restrictions
  • Scrolled down to Allow Changes
  • Tapped on Passcode Changes
  • Changed the setting to Allow

Anyway-I’ve changed so much from last update-ringtones all now the same or had to choose new text tones, bc many deleted.

i can’t get an app push notification to allow me to read on Lock Screen and then it’s just gone-I’ve missed several important events and so far just this app?????

My Face ID also stopped working suddenly today after an update last night… I have checked settings and have no restrictions turned on within screentime but do not even have “Face ID & Password” as an option within settings!

PLEASE FIX THIS!! I use key generated passwords for everything and it’s extremely impractical to not use the Face ID (bc touch isn’t an option bc no button on iPhone 15 pro) for logging in.

I read through all the replies snd I trued yours. Nothing is working. I did settings: screen time : content & privacy restrictions. They were not enabled. I tried enabling and do not allow changes for face id. Still, the face ID section is not showing under accessibility. There are no parental controls set and no one else able to block settings. What else may I try?
