If the Face ID and Passcode options are missing from your iPhone's settings, it may be due to only one reasons as I understand:
You have Restrictions enabled: If you or someone else with access to your device has enabled Restrictions, it may be preventing you from accessing the Face ID and Passcode options. To check if Restrictions are enabled, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If Restrictions are enabled, you will need to enter the passcode to access the options.
Go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions and change Passcode Changes to Allow.
@Lawrence, can that also be the case for a new iPad mini? Tried all the suggestions in the thread with the exception of shutting off the family connection of devices.
If parental controls are enabled then the family organizer can disable changing the passcode. That would have to be set, it isn’t a default.
Omg - i tried for days to fix this bc it wasn’t working on the new phone - and your answer helped in a minute - bc every other search just told me it was in the menu - thanks so much

How do I get to settings? as I can’t enter any code on the Lock Screen. Frustrating as I’m terminally ill and can’t get any help without my phone
No use to me. Mine is a brand new iPhone 15 mini bought from Apple 3 months ago. It’s been up to today
But when i turned it off i had to reset the car infotainment settings to get it working again and then it just connected and asked if i wanted to connect automatically
Thank You so much sir 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! After much searching your solution was better than any others including Apple support!
