Apple Wallet says “Pass Disabled” for TicketMaster

My Ticketmaster concert tickets in the Wallet suddenly show “Pass Disabled” and “This pass is associated with a different Apple ID”. Ticketmaster has not been able to help me so far. I do still show my tickets in Ticketmaster. Is it safe and wise to try deleting them in the Wallet and then start over in Ticketmaster and add to Wallet again? I did not transfer these to anyone so there shouldn’t be duplicates. Although a different set of tickets for same weekend were transferred to my spouse and it has the same message.

Just ran across this with sports season tickets I can use bar code but not add to wallet. Turns out my son used my TM account for a concert a few months back and loaded into Apple wallet. His Apple ID is now linked to my TM account. He can add the tickets to his wallet logging on as me on his phone but I get the dreaded message. Spent extensive back and forth with TM. They had no solution but to delete account and use new email. Spoke to Apple too and they said all TM. So beware if you log onto a different device using your account it may adopt that Apple ID. It would seem TM could simply change the linked Apple ID . Not sure why just a one way and can’t revert back. Still searching for solutions but will try some of these suggestions.

I am unable to add any Ticketmaster ticket to my wallet because my new Apple ID does not match the old Apple ID associated with my Ticketmaster account/profile. Apple ID on your device must match the logged in profile. There is no TM fix. Apple ID in your TM account is immutable. I spoke with TM support. What you need to do is to call TM support 800 653 8000 and ask to have your current TM account deleted on their side. Once deleted create a new TM account with the proper Apple ID associated with your current device/wallet.

This "Pass Disabled" problem cost me $300k because I couldn't transfer tickets I'd purchased from Ticketmaster. Bought 4 tickets to a concert, two people backed out and I could not sell or even transfer the tickets. I tried Ticket master Chat - 19 emails later with no resolution and one rep telling me just the opposite of what another rep had told me, I called - I was at one week before the event at this point. I was told it would be escalated and someone would call me back. The would not connect me with a supervisor. No one ever called. The last email I got from Ticketmaster said they would respond within 24-48 hours - that was the day of the event. No communication from them at all afterward. Now my husband transferred 8 of our NBA tickets to me, I put them in my wallet, and I am getting the same message! I had to transfer them to my daughter and will have to use her phone to get into the games. RIDICULOUS that we are all having this issue and Ticketmaster are doing nothing. If it's Ticketmaster's issue, then Apple is failing to put pressure on Ticketmaster to get their act together and fix the glitch. Tickets from other organizations, like Stub Hub, transfer to my wallet just fine from someone else with a different Apple ID. No problem with airline tickets. The issue is strictly with Ticketmaster. I am furious and frustrated. And Ticketmaster has a monopoly - they are the source for our NBA tickets and our off-Broadway play tickets. It is a huge mess.

This is not an Apple issue and you have unrealistic expectations as to what pressure Apple can apply to an independent developer. If Ticketmaster doesn’t comply, the resolution is they are blocked and apps are removed from the Apple App Store. Does that satisfy you and other customers? I don’t know, but are tickets still available at will call? Maybe that’s the best alternative.

Apple can’t fix poor customer service, broken promises and a myriad of other issues Ticketmaster is challenged by.

Apple does offer the access to dozens, probably hundreds of software engineers and extensive test of their apps before they’re released to the public.

Im sorry for your poor customer experience, and dissatisfaction with your Apple Wallet experience. But it boils down to Ticketmaster facing extraordinary market conditions (scalping, counterfeit tickets, scammers stealing tickets), that Ticketmaster’s own security does not permit tickets to easily be transferred to another party.

No - the issue is Ticketmaster insisting that your Ticketmaster Account be the same as your AppleID. So if they aren’t, no matter if you delete from your Apple Wallet and try again, it will not work.

Ticketmaster have gone with a very lazy solution and should reach out to an Airline or similar to work out how it should be coded to work successfully regardless what their Customer’s Apple ID is.
