mophie 3-in-1 travel charger with MagSafe

Have had the charger for just over a month now and plugged in and not moved for a couple of weeks and had been working fine. It now won’t charge my watch and keeps pinging on and off non stop and it’s hit and miss with my phone too. I have tried different cables and plugs with the same result.

I have had the same issue for the past few days and thought I was going crazy. I tried to request a replacement through their site, but I am getting the message, "This product is no longer available. Please contact customer care for options."

The contact form is hidden. I submitted a ticket but have not received a ticket number or anything. Any ideas? I feel that I gave away £169 to Morphie. What is Apple's official response to their partner for a product sold exclusively in Apple Stores? Can I return it to the Apple Store and request a refund or a replacement?

Thank you for contacting ZAGG. It looks like you may be having some charging issues with your 3-in-1 travel charger with MagSafe. We are aware of this issue and are actively investigating the problem and working on a solution.

In the interim, we would appreciate it if you could reply back with the serial number on the travel charger (found behind the watch puck).

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will provide updates soon. Thank you for your patience.

All the best,

Do not buy this. It was $150 and I’m on my second one and that broke too. Same issue of on and off randomly . This company makes a horrible product which is only that much more aggravating because of their zero customer service. Do not buy this product unless you have $150 to burn and don’t mind being frustrated beyond belief. The kicker was they replaced my broken product with a “factory refurbished product.“ Which had the exact same issue of turning on and off randomly.

I am noticing that all of these complaints are within days of each other. And my second one works no better. I’m starting to think this is a software problem with an apple update issue.

Hi there,

unfortunately I have to tell a very similar story to the other ones. Basically in the middle of the night about a little more than a week ago, my iPhone as well as my Apple Watch continuously stopped and started charging in a cycle. As you all said just as if you’d remove it from the charger and put it back. It was actually the repeated charging “ping” noise that awoke me.

Not sure why exactly this happened at that time, but reading all your comments it seems that it must be something firmware related.

In any case I need to find my purchase receipt from the Apple Store otherwise there’s no hope of a replacement at all - unless this issue can be fixed as well over-the-air.

Best

Stephan

I’m having the same exact issue with both of the chargers I purchased on June ‘22. Apple said I need to reach out to Mophie (ZAGG) and I’m not able to do a warranty replacement or even switch it out for a different product.

wait time for customer service is over 25 minutes and I’m assuming it’s because they are being bombarded with this.

just going to send them an email and wait to hear back about an update.

You don’t. The return requires a serial number or registration number. This item has no serial number so that’s just for frustration purposes. The registration number is only obtained if you’ve registered that item for warranty purposes. If you were like, I, I would never think to register a charger. You can attempt to register the item which broke or you’ll have to call the company. That had me on hold for close to two hours. I think they have one person working for the company. The owners on the beach and some tropical climate, laughing. And counting our money.

I registered my serial number with ZAGG and sent them an email. I got the same response many others are getting about the issue being “actively investigated” and emailed them back my serial number. This sounds oddly like a software issue that they are likely trying to figure out on the fly. It would be comforting if they could just vocalize that.

You might be right that we should turn on the socials. This was an Apple exclusive product that they apparently aren’t taking any responsibility for. Really the only reason I considered paying the price they were asking for was because it was backed by Apple. I wish I had just bought the Apple MagSafe Duo Charger instead…

Having same issue.

Brand new and worked fine for a coupla weeks then not.

Tried everything with no luck.

Created warranty replacement but Zagg cancelled and after lots of support messages back and forth I was just told they are aware of the issue and working on a fix.

Apparently they feel a firmware fix will do it.

But no exact ETA yet.

Hope this helps!

I’m replying to my update. I just returned the new Mophie I bought 2 weeks ago at an Apple Store. The rep told me Apple will provide a refund no matter the receipt date. She also stated they are supposed to be taking it off the shelves. I didn’t confirm that with a manager though. So attempt a return at your own risk😂. The problem is I can’t find the receipt for for charger I bought last year. I also have tried multiple times to register my older Mophie on the Zagg website to no avail.

I just called Apple store near me. I am in Canada.

They are aware of the issue and have stopped selling these devices.

They said to bring the charger in with my order info (I ordered via Apple online store a coupla months ago) for a full credit.

So that is my next step.

I will buy the Apple Magsafe Duo because am travelling soon and need something reliable and don’t want bring a whack of cables with me.
