mophie 3-in-1 travel charger with MagSafe

Have had the charger for just over a month now and plugged in and not moved for a couple of weeks and had been working fine. It now won’t charge my watch and keeps pinging on and off non stop and it’s hit and miss with my phone too. I have tried different cables and plugs with the same result.

I have had the same issue for the past few days and thought I was going crazy. I tried to request a replacement through their site, but I am getting the message, "This product is no longer available. Please contact customer care for options."

The contact form is hidden. I submitted a ticket but have not received a ticket number or anything. Any ideas? I feel that I gave away £169 to Morphie. What is Apple's official response to their partner for a product sold exclusively in Apple Stores? Can I return it to the Apple Store and request a refund or a replacement?

I also recieved the e-mail. They are mad at zagg to charge shipping costs. After I already payed 35 euro to get the replacement at home.

Isn’t there anything we could do?

One more bad thing for me, the broke charger I had to ship back to zagg is lost in shipment. So they will probably charge a new one to..

I have insured the package to 100 euro but first there will be a very long investigation from the shipping company😫

Im really glad Mophie is solving this because I tried earlier this month to order a replacement from ZAGG website but it said the product was out of stock and I should go directly to Apple to get the replacement (I live in Mexico and they said that was the proper course of action), and then at Apple they said that since I bought it a year ago and it is not an Apple product they couldn’t replace it as it was not covered by their warranty, which honestly left me pretty mad at both Apple and Mophie. I’m glad I didn’t throw it out, I just ordered the firmware update kit with 0 shipping costs, hopefully that solves it because I did like this charger a lot, especially when traveling

I have two of these chargers. Mophie/Zagg sent out the firmware and it solved the 'pinging' issue and everything charges. But they have not solved the original issue of needing to unplug and replug the power for the MagSafe phone charger to work. I leave mine plugged in and closed when not in use. Open it up and place my devices for charging. It is usual that I need to reconnect the power for the phone to charge.

This was/is an issue before they had the pinging problem.

I am waiting for a reply from Mophie.

Actually yes. Like you, the firmware worked. But the continuous charging when plugged in does not. Plug in once. all pods charge. Leave plugged in and come back another day, and none of the pods charge. Re-plug and they all charge. Customer Service has now offered me a refund for both of my units.

I am trying to decide if I want to return one or both. Reason is that I use one when traveling and it is convenient to pack away. The other is left on my kitchen counter for normal charging.

Mous has a really nice setup. It also has an extra USB C outlet. While not foldable and in two parts with the watch pod, and expensive; I think I will go with that one. And now that we are talking--I will return both! Just was away for a weekend and would have been nice to have the extra C output. This trumps the nice packaging. I can live without it and pack it just the same.

I am on my third 3-1 travel charger and now have the same issue…again. I worked with Mophie, now Zagg, customer support over the course of a few months on the issue with my first charger. They asked me to send it in to them, so I did immediately. Then they said don’t send it in because they were going to send out a firmware fix. I followed up letting them know what happened and got no response. So when I received the firmware fix I had no device to update. It took me 3 months to sort that out and finally they decided just to send me a replacement. When the replacement arrived I plugged it in and set it up. When I removed my phone the next morning the whole charging connection came off attached to the phone. So back I went to Zagg customer support, retelling my story again. They sent me a third device. About 8 months later I have the same issue of my phone not charging. Never again, goodbye Mophie and Zagg.

Hi. I only just realised that the problem was solvable - thought I had a broken wire.

Sadly, Zagg has no dongle any more and tho they promised to send one "when becomes available", I am not holding my breath.

Any chance of you (or someone else reading this) sending me one as you will not need it again? I would pay for postage. I am in the UK.
