Crackling noise on Airpods pro gen 1

I had EXACTLY the same experience. Same "magical" November 2020 mystery manufacturing date (where they got it from is unknown). $250 for a device that lasted all of 1.5 years of light use, which was bought to replace a $150 device that lasted 2 years. It's honestly embarrassing that I keep buying products from this company...

I have brought another set of earphones from a different manufacturer let's see how I get on with them. Still in disbelief with Apple and these Airpods Pro! We will support you we won't support you as it costs us some chump change. Pah deaf ears.

Also the gentleman at the Apple store said he agrees completely that the AirPods are trash and that it happened to him as well. He believes they are faulty and wouldn't recommend anyone buying them because he has experienced the same issue with his and many customers like me complaining about the low quality and faulty equipment.

If even the employees recognize this, why is Apple not doing something to fix the situation.

Apple sold a product with an obvious design fault and tried to get themselves out of it cheaply. Takes a long time to build your reputation why gamble that with loyal customer? Beats me! 🤷‍♂️

Will never buy AirPods again. Simple as that. All people having this problem should draw the line in the sand. Period.

Does anyone know if this issue is fixed in the 2nd generation AirPods Pro? I couldn't find a clear answer online.

@charlesroderick Very disappointing indeed. I replaced my pods with non-Apple pods. The way I got treated by Apple in this case was a disgrace just like you.

Totally agreed. Paying premium for a product that’s defect only to find out it’s not covered due to date.

I was told over the phone with their support that my Airpods were covered and to book an appointment with the Geniusbar. Booked it, travelled for hours waited only to be told that they were not covered. Honestly I have started to ditch their products but it will take me a while as i have foolishly gone so far in with them. Made me so angry as they didn't really care in the store and were not really helpful. The amount of money put their way only to be given what can be described as rubbish service. I've spend my money and wasted my time. I have logged a complaint but I'm sure I will not be getting compensated.
