Unable to sign in to AppleTV on my Roku, it works sometimes but most the time it says there’s a problem playing the video and it either tells me to try again or start troubleshooting. I do both of those constantly and nothing happens. All my other TV apps work fine.

I had this exact problem. Solved by restarting my Roku streaming device using this sequence: Roku > settings > system > power > system restart. Good luck.
I have the same exact things happening (including the wheel of death) with a Roku Stick on my Samsung TV.
I tried the MyGreensocks suggestion already. I tried the AirPlay workaround by adding info to the TV.
When stuff like this happens…, haven’t we advanced far enough in technology to have more helpful error messages. Like,
Error: “Your old Roku stick doesn’t work with AppleTV anymore. Go get another one.”
OR “Your TV isn’t smart enough for Apple’s latest update. We’re working on a fix with Samsung.
OR “Not enough customers are using Roku. Try unplugging it and get a real AppleTV. Here’s a coupon.”
My Apple TV won’t play on my Roku TV. I’ve done everything I know what to do including deleting the app and reinstalling it. No it won’t let me sign in. It was playing the pintos to shows but not program itself.
what is the solution to this problem. The Roku tv and the Apple TV app were up today’s. It plays fine on a smaller tv with the Roku USB stick.
