iOS 17 gray call screen

I'm sure that I am not the only one. After the IOS 17 update was shocked to see that horrible gray call screen. Who in the technical department decided that was a good idea? and also moving all the buttons to the bottom of the screen. Certainly is vey ugly as far a I'm concerned. I know there's no fix for it here, just getting it of my chest.

Hi Patrick, yes I totally agree with what you have said, it's hard to see, the end call button, what were they thinking? or not thinking. Why change something that was so pleasant to look at to this gray ??? All we can do is go to this link here Feedback - iPhone - Apple and tell them what you have said here. I have done that and I hope if enough people do it they will change something in an update. Here's hoping. something else i noticed is I just used the keypad on a phone call, first time since update. The keypad is the same gray color, the numbers are now much smaller and the hide keypad is just small words not an actual button to press, and it's right next to the end call button. I have mention that in my complaint and will raise another post for it. Cheers

Well the problem with that is many all my contacts are business not personal how can I add a busines selfie ? whats the work around for that?

I don't know why you'd want a selfie on other people's contacts. Wouldn't that be weird to have someone call you and seeing your picture? But if it works for you, by all means.

You can put any picture you want. I have been known to download logos from corporate web pages and use those. But that's just because I like having pictures in my contacts. LinkedIn is a good source for professional photos if you're so inclined.

What I do or don’t like is irrelevant; rather Apple makes such decisions based upon feedback, so I hope you’ve told them of your feelings on the subject - it’s basically the only way changes get made.

Note I didn’t say I liked the grey, I just have no issues with it.

I'm with you. It's just a color for the call screen, which lasts not very long, so to me, it's just not worthy of any angst. But then some people get out of sorts on things, so yes, they need to complain to Apple, if it's a big deal to them. It's just not a big deal to me. I think the people being killed in wars in Ukraine, Israel or the Gaza Strip is a big deal. When you use that perspective, this isn't important at all.

Perhaps “log” was the wrong word—secretly listen/watch and mine for data as we type (on here or any other site) is what I meant

There's too much noise on too many threads for Apple to pay attention to the posts. As a level 10, we have an internal forum where we are connected to the Apple people who manage this forum. They have told us on more than one occasion that Apple, the Apple folks you would hope are paying attention to these posts, simply don't. Again, they will read feedback sent the appropriate way, via the link which has been provided multiple times in this thread and that is what people should use, if they want their voice to be heard.
