iOS 17 gray call screen

I appreciate the time and effort you put into sharing your thoughts. But they are wasted here. No one here works for Apple or had anything to do with any of the changes. We can't change anything back. We either learn to live with the changes and go on with our lives (what I have done) or if anyone finds the changes objectionable enough, they should use the feedback link which has been posted multiple times throughout this thread to let Apple know what they think.

Personally, I don't have any issues with the realignment of the call buttons. I've gotten quite used to them. I have even asked people I work with if the new call button layout is causing them any issues. To my surprise, not only did they say they weren't having issues, almost of them hadn't even noticed the layout had changed. My partner didn't even notice they had changed and he's 75 years old and seems to have no problems with the change.

Again, some people adjust to change easier than others or are completely unaware anything is different.

If sharing my heartfelt thoughts here stirs just one person to provide feedback to Apple who might not have otherwise, then my thoughts are not wasted here. If confessing my handicap at reading text on a gray background will finally inspire vision-enabled people like you to be compassionate enough to stop telling people like me to get used to our handicaps because you're ok with things the way they are, then my thoughts are not wasted here.

I had a hard enough time getting my 87 year old mother to transfer from android to iPhone. She always had trouble with knowing what buttons to push to answer or hang up the phone. Now just as she has got used to the Apple interface, she has to change again! And why? The phone interface was perfectly fine before. Now it is not only ugly, but also unusable for my mother.

I don't care about color, I very much care about loss of information because of blank space. This is also in Contacts. Some of my buisness contacts have four or more phone numbers, they used to all be on the screen at once, now several are below the screen requiring scroll--and mobile numbers on my firm's setup are at the bottom and are therefore hidden. Even just to know if I have their cell number, I have to scroll.

When you call from your Contact Card, I believe you get the color of the contact wallpaper you may have chosen for yourself. I just called from my Contact Card and got the background color of my Contact Card.

I’ve been looking for others with this problem and a possible solution! When in meetings or other places it’s not appropriate to answer the phone, a quick glance at the screen to view the contact photo was very beneficial. Now gray and with buttons moved I want to just go back to the previous IOS.

There's no way to change the call screen and you cannot go back to the previous iOS.

My sister recently upgraded her iPhone and also hates it. Wants to know how to fix it as it's making her calls awkward. She's been bugging me about it but I can't help her and I do not intend to upgrade my phone until it is fixed. Who's clever idea, not, was this!!!!

Can anyone let me know how to get rid of the awful, ugly, grey screen that I have after I upgraded my iphone 13? Hate the grey background in incoming and oputgoing calls and the grey back ground in contacts. What was Apple designers thinking?

No one can tell you how to change, because it can't be changed. But there's a feedback link provided multiple times you can use if this is such a big deal to you that you'd care to let Apple know what you think.

To me, it's just color and not worthy of any angst. In fact, I actually like the color gray!

I don’t like the grey calling out screen on the iPhone. It’s displeasing to look at and the contrast is bad for my eyes. Please go back to black. What were you all thinking? Why can’t I change this look. Also the buttons on the bottom are impractical. Please address this issue.

This is a less the effective. Let alone l use my phone as a business tool.

I regret more and more the hooks, and poor design “ upgrades “ of Apple. I have a 15 so not old.

the colors have less contrast, attaching is no longer streamline.

The contact forwarding is additional steps as well.

Can you create a point to go back to and undo the upgrade?

why don’t they correct the poor autocorrect inaccuracies and other productive things? If you enter events into iCal first they do not cross into Outlook. If you start in the Outlook calendar it will roll to iCal.

This is the absolute worst phone call screen!!! What were they thinking?

Some of the phone numbers are below the visible screen and forces me to take an extra step and scroll down.

The gray is horrible.

please take our feedback and either revert back to old layout of iOS 16 or give us an option in the next IOS “down grade”.

Yeah … that’s a huge and intense change for iOS 17 🤭

is this really one of that big changes ??? Really !!!???! Duds …. I mean There was not anything much more important than call screen color to change ? 😂
