AirPods not connecting to iPhone after updating to iOS 17

Tried on my friends iPhone that still has the previous IOS and it works 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same every time I connect to my Apple TV or phone it’ll show it’s connected but no sound will play and it will keep disconnecting itself sometimes they aren’t even responding I have to connect it to a charger for it to comeback on

I have "kinda" the same issue. I've been able connect my AirPod Pros to my iPhone 12 Pro Max, but the connectivity has GREATLY decreased and the sound keeps dropping. If I put my iPhone in my pocket or if I move more than 15 feet from my iPhone, I lose audio. And that NEVER happened before.

Me too. When I ask Siri to make a call, she doesn’t do it from my Powerbeats Pro anymore it goes to my phone even when I add it in the verbal command, even worse is physically when I choose my Powerbeats on the screen the call still won’t route through correctly.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled them. Music works, nothing else.

People were speculating that mine are fakes. That’s why I couldn’t update and all. But mine is still under warranty. I’m bringing it to Apple Store for a check soon. It’s frustrating with this new iOS 17. The problem that you can’t have better ways on updating makes it even worse

As of yesterday, when I rebooted my phone, my wired earbuds will work for talking on the phone but I can no longer hear music or podcasts. I can't hear anything on Pandora either.

I just received an update today for 17.0.2. I'm installing that now and hope it fixes things. Will let you know.

I'm having a slightly different problem with my pair of Maxes. Pairing issues with the ios 17 update however even if i forgot the headphones on my device i still cant connect. Upgrading again to the beta 17.1 and hoping to see if that solves it.

I would suggest making sure you MAX's are updated too before disconnecting.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro updated to iOS 17.0.2 and AirPods 3rd Gen

Adding to the issues, the battery and charge statuses are completely haphazard. When I open the case, it doesn’t show the status half the time and when it does, the charge and connected status is wrong

Same!!! I am beyond frustrated with those AirPods. Works on my iPad on iOS 16. Didn't work on my iPhone 15pro since the iOS 17 update. And clicked on forget the device to try to update the firmaware this way and now the iPhone iOS 17 cannot find it when I press the button on the back of the AirPods.

Just updated my iPhone 15 pro max to iOS 17.0.3 and now my AirPods Pro A2084(firmware 6A300) won’t connect. I’m afraid to unpair since other posters are saying their iPhones won’t recognize their AirPods after forgetting.

I have the same issue now. I’m using AirPods gen 3 and I forget the device on both my iPad and iPhone. Now, I cannot connect the AirPods on both devices and now it wont recognized my airpods. Kept on saying that the location of these airpods can be seen by the owner.

obviously I am the owner of this airpods.

issue started when only the right pods is working.

does anyone get the same error?

guys i am worried cause my airpods before 17 ios were ok charging ok everything good, but after i installed 17 and updates that came along whenever i pair to my iphone it says for example 61% case than drops to 0 and it stays like that. And while its charging my airpods continue to charge but when i unplug from the carger, and open again it still the same problem but this time battery drains on my airpods

after i updated my ipad to ios 17, my device started havibg trouble with its battery like it would randomly shut off and MY AIRPODS. My sister just bought this for me and it started having problems, sometimes the right airpod would not connect and when i check the settings it would not appear, only the left airpod and its case would appear not the right. I tried fixing it and yes it worked again but after a day it just stopped working again. I tried forgetting the device and connecting it again but im having trouble in connecting it. Any tips?

I tried it multiple times, one thing I noticed was my airpods don’t have the latest firmware. I tried following their instruction but no luck. I compared my gen 3 to one of my friend and his firmware was updated. Still trying to ways on how to update mine.
