iPhone 15 Pro Max Wi-Fi Issues

I Hope apple or others can help me out - I’m having issues with WiFi on the IPhone 15 Pro Max

myself and others are having issues with using WiFi and 160hz - many have raised issues on Reddit posts - some cannot connect to there WiFi at all and others can connect like myself but have random issues with no internet from time to time

Mines working on 5GHz 160hz, but sometimes I’ll just have no internet connection (it’s still connected to the WiFi) - I have to disconnect from the WiFi and connect again for it to work.

I’m using ASUS RT-AX82U - 5GHz allowed Upto 160hz - I’m running 1gig internet so last thing I want to do is try running at 80hz as I’ll loose speed

When it does work it works great 😊

PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP APPLE

I've got a fix!!! This was frustrating me to no end. Went to Apple store and talked with one of the experienced techs. He said the issue is the iPhone when you import from an old iPhone imports non-ideal network settings, not just your old iPhone passwords. Fix is below.

Network -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset Network Settings

Wifi has been working like a charm since I did this. Read about this for hours and never saw this suggested anywhere else so figured I'd contribute.

Update: My 15 Pro Max is still working great so far. Just got off the phone with Apple support and it was a cool experience sharing the screen and explaining what happened in detail. The support agent was very good. I finally had some time to do that and they happened to call at the prefect time. My frustration is gone now because everything is working so that helps. But next time I try to make changes to my mesh network from the 15 Pro Max Deco app while also using the wifi network simultaneously, if it does not work again I'll call them so the can collect logs and maybe that will help them figure it out. I just hope it's a software issue and not a hardware issue, or maybe a hardware issue that can be fixed/ patched with software updates (kinda like the Hubble Space Telescope mirror). Overall this a great phone and wifi works great for me now, but I don't have wifi 6.

I had this same issue when trying to set up my new Iphone 15pro from my old iphone. Basically after hours of troubleshotting we figured out that the issue was one VPN app installed on my old device which was blocking network connection when I trying to install in the new phone. Try to look at your app library in the new phone and delete any VPN apps or some that may have this capability like Google One. Also look under settings if your phone says connecting to VPN.

I was having the same issue and reading through all of these replies. Got to this one and checked my VPN. As soon as I looked at the VPN, I saw the slide button toggling on and off by itself. I removed the VPN and my phone immediately connected to the WiFi with no problems. I have Norton. I’m gonna message them with a heads-up in case there’s a fix on their end.

Well I did what I swore I wouldn’t and had Bell upgrade my router. Had to upgrade my service level to get the new router but whatever. Absolute nonsense I had to do this just for consistent wifi in my house with one single phone (15 Pro Max) vs the 10+ Apple devices that worked fine. Apple continues to each out for logs (thanks Tracey!!) and I appreciate that but wow, no WAY we should need to do this for basic wifi connectivity.

Yes, that's the only network I've had success with (have only tried a few since activating the phone a few days ago).

I did finally get connected to my -5g network, with a solid speed test, while on the phone/screenshare with support. 10 mins after the call, everything regressed to exactly how it had been before. So, it seems when Apple is looking, the phone plays nice lol

Same issue here. I have an Iphone 12 Pro max, no issues. I've also recently had a Z fold4, no issues. but since I've gotten the Iphone 15 (pro max). lots of connection issues. I have no connection/internet issues with all other computers/devices on the network (including Ipad).

I also have an Asus Router. (AX88U). and I also had 160MHZ turned on. I have just turned it off to see if that helps.

One last bit. Asus just released a new Firmware. but the update had no effect on the issues.

I’m having the same issue with my 15 Pro Max on iOS 17.0.3. I have the xFi Gateway latest model and 1.2GBPS package. All other devices: iPads, Apple TV, iPhone 14 Pro Max have zero issues with the network. Multiple times a day I lose a connection, won’t get iMessages, won’t send iMessages, won’t update apps and mail says ‘no connection’.

To be fair, I have really poor cellular service on AT&T in an urban area down a hill (usually 1 bar). The WiFi should not be impacted by this, however. Not sure what to do, reset the router, restored the device as new to no resolve. Hoping iOS 17.1 maybe has a fix as it appears to be a software issue. The speed and ping is terrible, we are talking slower than 56k dialup, lots of jitter. It did not start for me until ios 17.0.3 was released. I had the ios 17 beta all summer, but that was on the iphone 14 Pro Max, so it seems specific to the 15 models for some reason. Contacting both Apple and Xfinity and exhausted all steps. Did some DNS and configuration work on the modem in advanced settings as well.
