iPhone 15 Pro Max Wi-Fi Issues

Such a simple solution in the end! After having a replacement phone and multiple calls to Apple support, one advisor told me to take off the VPN on my phone and it immediately connected and stays connected to all Wi-Fi. Hope this helps ☺️

Please check later about the VPN , every guy from apple said that but after that the problem return , I have No vpn and default configs and this junk still bouncing between networks is not acceptable, as many users said I have an 14pro max and 12 both with vpn an working fine, I will have a session with support today and I will keep you posted what ends here , I bought the iPhone since the launch and on 1 day install vpn and same mirror config as my 12 and 14 and was working fine and suddenly this 15 pro max junk starts bouncing between ( celular and WiFi)

I've just updated to iOS 17.1 and the issue is still not fixed for me. I still cannot connect to my 5ghz wifi from my main router. However I can connect to a 5ghz wifi if I use a range extender, which is what I've been doing since I got the phone on launch day.

I can't believe this issue hasn't been prioritized. I'm guessing most people connect to their 2.4ghz, which doesn't seem to have any issues. Can we start bombarding the writers of tech news site like MacRumors, 9to5Mac, The Verge so this gets some more coverage? Or even start emailing Tim Apple himself.

Like others, after updating to iOS 17.1, I was hopeful that this would be fixed but I tested the other night and the problem is still there.

I only seem to have an issue when setting the radio to operate at 160mhz.

I am all in on Unifi for hardware.

Hello guys IOS 17.1 have the same issue , we lost WiFi and also release notes do not mention anything , the ones that can return this device please do it ASAP many bugs are coming as this is new iPhone WiFi 6E something is happening there

Same issues. iPhone 13 Pro Max had no problems anywhere. 15 Pro Max drops regularly in same locations. I have to turn WiFi radio on and off several times a day to make it work. I have had it for 29 days and just submitted to return it. Bummer. Oh well, barely any noticeable difference over my old phone anyway.

I have same issue. iPhone 15 pro max. Router tp link archer c6, but same on asus and repeater both 2g and 5g. I have noticed that when my phone WiFi stop working then also my router is showing red internet diode for few seconds, then it starts working and so on… when I switch WiFi in my iPhone off, then router works fine and on other devices everything is ok. So I assume my iphone15 is breaking or interrupting somehow my WiFi/router.

Confirming like others that the issue is still present after upgrading to 17.1.

The only way I can get Wi-Fi to work with any stability on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and my Unifi DreamRouter is to disable the 160MHz frequency band on my 5GHz network.

Haha I gave my wife’s spare 13 pro max to use for things affected like my twinkly lights. I have a feeling the app for the lights is affected by the WiFi issues considering that is how they talk and the 13 works with no issue.

Are you keeping your DreamRouter updated?

Ubiquiti tends to release new firmware fairly regularly; the most recent official release was 3.1.16 two months ago:

How annoying, iOS 17.1 didn't resolve the issue.

My wife is rather *ed off that her new iPhone 15 Pro can't stay connected to the same Wifi that her 12 Pro and my 13 Pro Max have no issues with.

I run a ASUS TUF-AX5400 router and have a single SSID on 2.4 and 5Ghz.

This runs across 20 to 160 Mhz.

Apparently disabling 160 Mhz bands (slows your connection speed down a lot) keeps it stable.

Apple better fix this ASAP.

So here’s my situation. I have owned the 15 pro for almost 4 weeks now and facing the wifi issue from the beginning. It keeps getting disconnected from the wifi and sometimes doesn’t connect at all. I figured that everytime I reset my router the phone works perfectly for the next 2-3 days, then again the problem starts. This problem happens only with my home wifi. Every other device works perfectly with my home wifi however.

I’ve tried everything. Even visited an Apple service centre. But couldn’t find any solution anywhere. Really hope Apple addresses this issue in the next update as 17.1 did not bring a solution to this!

Same issue here on iPhone 15 pro with iOS 17.1

the only solution is to put airport mode on and off.

Resetting network settings or resetting phone didn’t help. Most of the time is happening when I’m back home. Even resetting router doesn’t do anything. This is happening on all private networks at home, friends or family.

On my older iPhones working fine with latest firmware.

I know it is not a solution but I upgraded my router to one of the new Wifi 7 ones and the problem is resolved for me and my 15 pro max have stable wifi now. I know it is not a solution just a very expensive workaround.

Hello guys thanks all For the pressure here in the chat it seems it helps , I have test the merge 2.4 and 5 WiFi network after the upgrade and it is more stable it seems apple want to cover it as a minor correction on the release notes , at the end I think as a company said that it was another bug impacts there stock market but anyway it seems the problem has gone for 2.4 and 5 I will test the wifi6e in order to see how it behaves.
