iPhone 15 Pro Max Wi-Fi Issues

I Hope apple or others can help me out - I’m having issues with WiFi on the IPhone 15 Pro Max

myself and others are having issues with using WiFi and 160hz - many have raised issues on Reddit posts - some cannot connect to there WiFi at all and others can connect like myself but have random issues with no internet from time to time

Mines working on 5GHz 160hz, but sometimes I’ll just have no internet connection (it’s still connected to the WiFi) - I have to disconnect from the WiFi and connect again for it to work.

I’m using ASUS RT-AX82U - 5GHz allowed Upto 160hz - I’m running 1gig internet so last thing I want to do is try running at 80hz as I’ll loose speed

When it does work it works great 😊

PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP APPLE

I've got a fix!!! This was frustrating me to no end. Went to Apple store and talked with one of the experienced techs. He said the issue is the iPhone when you import from an old iPhone imports non-ideal network settings, not just your old iPhone passwords. Fix is below.

Network -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset Network Settings

Wifi has been working like a charm since I did this. Read about this for hours and never saw this suggested anywhere else so figured I'd contribute.

They keep on rebooking other appointments until make you sick of going there..ridiculous .

Apple should do something about it!!!

I have a dual band router, and my iPhone15 pro max doesn’t work on the 5G band, but does connect to the slower 240mhz wider range band. Not ideal, and causes issues with other streaming apps and network connected TVs I try and stream content to. Paying over $1500 for the latest iPhone that seems inferior to the iPhone10 it replaced is a bitter pill to swallow. Please fix this Apple!!!

Having issues with my new iPhone Pro Max 15. Difficulty staying connected to wifi when I leave the house and when I return it won’t connect to wifi and I have to reset the phone then do a speed test to make sure it’s working!

unbelievable, I did contact the Apple Store and they walked me through resetting the wifi on my phone? Worked for a while and again stopped. Are they not aware of this?

Similar Situation here but strangest thing is it only seems to happen when connecting to other network devices like tv’s (I use the Roku app with remote on my phone). I can literally watch the wifi icon disappear when I go to the Roku app. Then if I got to wifi settings it shows it connected and the wifi icon is there. Go back to Roku and it flips to LTE.

after several back and forth tries it works but will eventually disconnect again. No rhyme or reason. My iPhone 12 max pro didn’t have this issue at all. Everything is the same except my phone!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing the same ongoing Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity issues with my iPhone 15 Pro Max since its release. It’s been a struggle, and I’ve tried every possible fix, including splitting my home network bands and resetting network settings, but nothing seems to work. The situation has left me constantly toggling on and off Wi-Fi and cellular data, with no end in sight.

I miss the stable connectivity I had with my 14 Pro Max and am hoping for a patch or solution soon. 🤞🏽

Has anyone found a workaround or received any support from Apple on this?

The problem may be with your wifi modem/router, and not the iPhone. Some internet service providers (ISPs) are having connectivity issues between their equipment and the new iPhone 15/pro/max, with no connection or connection dropping. If you call your ISP, they have a patch, like splitting your network. Any fix from re-setting your network connections on the phone, or re-starting your modem, is likely only temporary.

i just contacted TP Link Specialist Support and TP link RD Team

i found that my iphone X and 15 PM can't connect to wifi channel 36-64

Whenever we set channel 149 and above the iphone can connect to 5 GHz band, otherwise will stuck on 2.4 GHz band.

so if you can setup your router/mesh 5 GHz band channel from 36 to 149 will help alot!

am using deco x80(not 5G model), now i receive full speed on my iphone 15 PM.

cmon apple let your device can connect to wifi channel 36 to 64!

There's nothing in iOS or Apple hardware preventing connection on Wi-Fi channels 36-64.

Instead channels 64 and below may subject to DFS and TPC, which may slow down speeds on those channels.

In those cases the router may band steer the device to 2.4 GHz bands in an effort to speed up transfers or to provide a stronger signal.

5 GHz channels of 149 and above (in the US) have no such restrictions.

This is a good primer on such things:

well, then how my iphone 15 PM and X keep rejecting when try to connect wifi channel 36-64 on 5 GHz band.

i already tried just now on my friend home with asus router also the same thing, whenever i set it up to channel 5 GHz band on channel 36-64, iphone 15 PM and X doesnt work properly.

my devices can't even detect 5 GHz band, on wifi list.

but if i setup the channel to 149 and above, wifi ssid appear.
