iPhone Touch Screen not working - iOS 17

Well I downloaded iOS 17.4 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and my touchscreen stopped working. I can use Siri with the buttons of the phone and even go to the camera thanks to the action button. But the screen won't respond to my fingers.

well...I am another victim...My phone won't respond to any of the restarts. Vol up down side button till logo appears. I think I have tried 20x..someone said do it while plugged into my Mac. tried that. Not helping. Frustrated

I am having the same problem. My Iphone 14 Max isn't even 9 months old and still paying it off. This started 4 weeks ago. My phone became unresponsive. I restarted it a number of time and this did not work. So I reset it back to factory settings the first time it did not work but the second time it did. I backed up my phone and was working for under 24 hours and now back to being unresponsive. I went into the store they won't help me because there is nothing wrong with the phone itself it's the software. the phone is in great condition. Please tell me there is a solution to this problem. Please someone help.

Same situation as many others here… 14 Pro Max, updated within the last few days. All was good until about an hour ago. One minute it was perfectly fine, the next minute it is completely unresponsive to any & all touch. I have never encountered an issue like this before, how does this get resolved?!

Someone told me Apple was sued because of this. They want you to upgrade your phone every year. Kind of like an built-in obsolescence. Very upsetting. Nothing works. My phone is still unresponsive. Now I have to go to an Apple Store like I don't have anything else to do. This is pure BS.

My iPhone 8 screen stopped working I took it to Apple and they said it was nothing they could do he looked. At my screen and told me its my screen but when I got the screen fixed last month at the metro store it was fine

so i just had the same issue when i would just manage to have the touch screen respond for a few seconds upon restarting it. since i was playing an app game before it shut down i thought that it might stop unresponding again if i deleted the app as quickly as i could and that only made it work for a bit longer until it became unresponsive again.

It happens to me that strangely it was not the whole screen that froze, but if the entire right side, preventing me from entering the settings of any app or even I can't even write the letters P and Ñ because they are located there, does it happen to someone else?

i am currently having this issue with my iPhone 11. I tried the hard reset method many time to no avail. i thought maybe because i didnt update so i tried connecting the device to itunes but the phone kept telling me to unlock the phone which i cannot do. is there anyway to fix it without replacing the screen?

i updated the phone to the latest ios 17 version as of writing this, and still no avail. i even tried the hard reset multiple times. Now the phone is stuck on the "swipe up to recover" screen when u updated the phone when in recovery mode

Any suggestions?.

Did you find a solution? Im having same issue. My iPhone just froze up while I was using it. Hard reset doesn't work and plugging into computer doesn't work either because I can't 'unlock to use accessory' :| What the.

my family's iphone x suddenly stopped working one day. it was frozen on the lock screen and we couldn't touch/swipe at all. idk if the iOS 17 update actually did something but it's so annoying that we can't completely resolve fix. i even tried to force restart, connected the phone to a Mac, and contacted 2 Apple Advisors who didn't help me resolve the problem.

I have the same problem and I have health challenges. I have a iPhones 14 that’s not paid for. I need some type of compensation. Also! In emergency is this what may happen?

Do something Apple on your end.

My screen is full of trash I can’t delete, and there is no back page, to get back to where I was, to where I was before the screen got locked up with unwanted trash. Why is apple’s antivirus kicking in to clean up the mess.

Thankfully I can unlock, but the keyboard is totally out of whack with the update to 17.4.1. When trying to switch from letters to emojis, it takes multiple presses and/or moving to numbers back to letters for it to work. Plus the location of the frequently used apps is now hidden making uploads less convenient on top of taking several attempts to get to the now hidden apps due to the unresponsive touch screen.
