IPhone 15 Pro Max keyboard not registering clicks and some keys are not sensitive

Anyone experiencing insensitive keys on the keyboard? Some keys near the edge of my phone that are noticeably less sensitive and irresponsive than the rest (with and without a screen protector). I have to click pretty hard multiple times in order for the keys to register. The keys that are having issues registering my clicks are Backspace and "P". I tested the demo phones in the store and they all seem normal and much more sensitive.

I had the same exact issue. Just updated to IOS 17.1, which, according to Apple:

Fixes an issue that may cause the keyboard to be less responsive

And it does! Issue resolved. My backspace, “L” key and “M” key are functioning again!

Hope it works for y'all as well.

POTENTIAL SOLUTION HERE:

I had the same issue. I realised 2 days after purchase. The backspace button failed to react sometimes. On occasion would fail for a few minutes, then work again for hours only to eventually fail again. Since I had my old phone with me, I used it to record the error. I would click many times, and since the backspace button turns white when actually deleting a space, it was easy to track on the video when it failed. I went to an Apple store and even though they would give me a new phone straight away because I had it for less than 2 weeks, a senior technician told me that that was a hardware error where some sensors in the screen failed to work properly. Seeing in this forum that many people realised the issue well passed the 2 weeks return period, I asked him what could be done in that situation. The senior technician told me that they would anyway give me a new phone, or they may choose to change the screen, which would also solve the issue. In the store I was in, there were 60 technicians and only 4 are senior technicians, so I guess I got lucky to get that guy. He was obviously very knowledgeable. He also told me that this is a normal issue that can happen with screens, and needs to be physically repaired. It is not a software issue. Well, hope this helps, guys, cheers!
