IPhone 15 Pro Max keyboard not registering clicks and some keys are not sensitive

Although you may have been lucky, many reports on the Internet are stating that replacement didn’t solve anything as the second or sometimes even the third replacement iPhone 15 Pro Max was still exhibiting the exact same problem. There are custumers who tested up to a dozen iPhones 15 Pro Max in the Apple Store, EVERYONE of them having the problem reported.

Your advice is without any value until Apple acknowledges the grave problem and GUARANTEES that replacement device won’t be having the same problem all over again. Or address the issue via a software update.

If the problem is indeed a hardware one, Apple is ripe for a massive recall of defective devices, mine included.

Go into reset settings and reset keyboard dictionary. Worked on my wife’s 15 PM. She couldn’t access the numbers on brand new phone. After the reset she closed out the apps she was trying to sign in on and when she reopens the apps she was able to access her numbers. Hope this helps

I called Apple Support. They are aware of the problem. I had a thick security privacy screen on my 15 pro max. Changed if and only have occasional issues with my backspace key now.

No “trick” described won’t and can’t solve anything. The touch screen is malfunctioning at the hardware level.

It’s a disgrace Apple won’t admit it exists.

I had this issue too. For me, this problem got better after I turned off Slide to Type.

1. Go to General
2. Go to Keyboard
3. Turn off Slide to Type

I have the same problem as well as lots of misspellings happening. I feel like the keyboard and typing definitely have an issue. I did turn on sensitivity of gliding effect and timing and it helped a little with the issue. I also reset keyboard dictionary.

It’s definitely a hardware issue and it’s a very real one.

But the biggest problem is that Apple (or certified service partner) is simply denying it. They will just run some SW diagnostics and return the phone back to costumer stating in report that all tests have passed. Which is exactly what I have experienced.

So there is no way for me to get a repair or replacement for my iPhone 15 Pro Max wich came with faulty touchscreen right out of the box, costing me 1.8K €. They will keep denying it.

So this is the biggest problem for me.

Even though I have methodically and carefully typed each word in this paragraph there are numerous errors and jumbled words. The keyboard jumps around, adds random letters, spaces, and randomly autocorrects to the incorrect word. Everytime I write messages I must go back through them again and again to make corrections. It is literally impossible to use and I will be RETURNING THIS BROKEN PHONE.

I also have this issue on the iPhone 15 Pro non max. For me it’s the q/a/shift and 123 keys that are not working properly.. I tried disabling predictive, restarted the phone, restored the phone, installed the phone without backup. The issue persists.

I am having this exact same issue. I also got the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Upgraded from the 14 Pro Max and it did not have this issue. I also notice this is far worse when the iPhone is booting up. The keys literally do not register when typing my password. I wonder if this is because the bezels are actually slightly thinner and the glass on the edges of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are ever so slightly curved. This might be messing with the touch detection mechanism. No idea how to fix this issue, but I certainly hope Apple pulls it together and fixes such a critical part of its phone's functionality.
