iPhone 15 Pro Max Apple Pay not working

Same issue on my new iPhone 15 Pro -- but only with the Apple Card. Double click, says "hold near reader" (which I am) but it never connects. Removed and readded my Apple card and it worked once but twice this morning I had the same problem again. I doubt it's a hardware issue because I have used Apple pay with other cards and had no problem at all -- it's just with the Apple Card. Very frustrating....

I'm glad your problem was solved but having to get a new phone is a real inconvenience. Is Apple going to reimburse me for the screen protector I installed on my phone, for example? And given the number of people having issues, it doesn't seem like a new phone is guaranteed to not have the same issues.

Just wondering if this is something you have to pay for? I just got an iPhone 15 3 days ago and Apple Pay only works at vending machines so far. I’m not about to pay money to fix a faulty phone.

Me too! I’ve just upgraded to 15 Pro from 13 Pro and ApplePay doesn’t work. Like you, it just says to hold the phone nearer the reader! I’ve tried with and without the Mous cover in case the cover was the problem. I’ve also deleted my card from the Wallet, turned the phone off and on again and reinstalled the card manually but it still gives the same message 🤷‍♀️

I have the exact same issue. Just upgraded to the iPhone 15 pro and my Apple Pay doesn’t work. It goes through the motion of first recognizing my face then when I double click to pay it doesn’t want to read my card.

just upgraded to 15pro from 13pro and Apple Pay stopped working on 15pro. the error is it won't allow me to sign in using my password to add App Cash to the iPhone. It says "cannot be set up" and that my icloud account does not support two factor authentication. I have 2fa turned on several other mac devices and do 2fa all the time so not sure what's going on. Anybody have this error and problem?

Same thing here. Got the new apple 15 promax, worked fine a few days. I also got a new 2024 BMW with charge tray, hasn’t worked since. I’ve rebooted, logged out, reset and nothing. I also can’t set up digital key on BMW either, where you have to lay your iPhone on the charging pad. Come apple/bmw fix it. Make my life simpler.

@Jeff Donald I did all that and more. Thanks for the tip to call them. I have had trouble with this phone for digital key, locking up phone during updates for days. I’m in a busy medical practice and it is most of my communication.

I am having the same issue with my iPhone15ProMax. Had an embarrassing moment in 7/11 since my Apple Pay let me down and I was without any physical card. That’s my usual store and my old 14 Pro used to be seamless in payment.

Hey… I have added my cards onto ApplePay but when I try to use it to pay for something it is saying that I need to go to settings to allow Apple Pay to be used. Where do I go for this? Please help. 😊😊💜🩷💚❤️ Oh… I have an IPHONE 15 PLUS.

I am not able to add any debit/credit card in my apple wallet. Is there someone else having the same issue. I can’t add it in Iphone 15 pro. I tried calling apple support and did many settings change but still didn’t work.

mines been doing it a few weeks now. Spoke with apple care who said they weren’t aware of an issue. They advised to factory reset phone see if that works. Done that still not working

hi, I just recently got the iPhone 15 plus less than two weeks ago. My Apple Pay is having the same issue. It happened to me when I was in the Apple Store as well, which is funny to me. I lost my physical apple card in my room somewhere and I have idea where it is. Anyway, I have been trying to use Apple Pay and the best thing I have done was pretty much was reset the phone which still hardly works. Still unsure what to do. It has nothing to do with my cards, just the phone. My phone is updated and everything...
