Apple Pay on Apple Watch Ultra 2 not working while Hand Gestures are enabled with Assistive Touch - Watch OS 10

I upgraded my watch last week from an Apple Watch Series 8 to an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I set up with the new watch with Apple Pay as soon as I got it and used it successfully shortly thereafter. Over the weekend I set up assistive touch hand gestures for my watch, and since then I've been unable to use Apple Pay with my watch. I've already restarted my phone, watch, and cycled the settings for the hand gestures. Kind of a big deal since one of the main reasons I switched to the more expensive Ultra line was to be able to go out sans phone, and hand gestures were an emphasized feature on the keynote. Can someone please help me?

It works if you turn off the "Enable Confirm with AssistiveTouch" in the watch. Settings -> Accessibillity -> AssistiveTouch -> Enable Confirm with AssistiveTouch

Are you now able to use Apple Pay and Assistive Touch hand gestures? Every time I reset me watch and turn assistive touch back on the Apple Pay stops working.

Im having same issue, no tap to pay after hand gestures was turned on. I did turn off ‘confirm with assistive touch’ and assitive touch in general. Still will not work even after a restart. To be clear, i double tap and my card pops up. But it doesnt actually interact with the card reader anymore.

Turned off assistiveTouch and no luck so far. Interestingly, I turned off AssistiveTouch and tried to turn off Enable Confirm with AssistiveTouch and it turns off and then automatically turns back on!

I am having same issue. No matter what I do, Enable confirm with Assistive touch keeps on turning back on automatically. Very frustrating. And i can’t use my Apple Pay on my watch. Which is something i use all of the time. Ughhhh

So I still have my old watch (think it’s a 7 or 8) and added the ultra 2. My ultra 2 went crazy last weekend started a workout, could t stop it and timed itself out until it ran out of battery. Now my Apple Pay isn’t working. Old watch is not effected.

Thank you so much for posting this! I’ve been trying to figure out how to use Apple Pay on my ultra watch 2 with double tap enabled and this solved it!

I have always had the passcode feature turned on for my watch.
