Recently app purchased iPhone 15 Pro I am using charger and cable of iPhone I am feeling more heat while charging the mobile and also playing games to play in Android the phone was not heating that much.

Let’s define “overheating”. If an iPhone overheats it shuts down so it can’t be used, and displays a message saying it must cool down before it can be turned on, and it will probably be unusable for an hour or so. If you are seeing this it is a hardware problem and you should contact Apple support:

If you are not seeing this your phone has not overheated. However, if you fast charge your phone may pause charging at 80% and display a message saying that charging has paused, and will resume when the phone cools down. This is NOT overheating, and is normal when fast charging. It also won’t prevent you from using any app you have on your phone.
Also, some apps that use a lot of energy or that use cellular data rather than Wi-Fi can cause the phone to run warmer.

That sounds like a plan, for now. It is compatible with the latest iOS Version release: iOS17. So, as long an incompatibility doesn't get in the way here, then you're fine for now.
Has anyone tried running the phone on low power mode? I want to buy this phone but I’m worried about the overheating issues. My 12 would overheat only when I had too much apps opened and not running on low power mode.
i order today iphone 15 pro max 256 white. It will arrive till the end on October 31. I’m hearing lots of heating problems after users who bought that iPhone and they cant use the iPhone pro max because of that issue that apple didn’t fix after send the new IOS 17.0.3 update.
should I need to cancel my order and buy 14 pro max ???

Same here, heating while charging , latest software, no much apps on phone , becomes hot from sides warmer on screen , wasted my $2000 on this Iron, could have got actual iron instead for $20. Apple has some serious issues now. I had no issues with their phones before, I dont think its a software bug
Same here. But I don’t want to risk waiting for the 24th October’s ios 17.1 , cause if still not resolve this issue i will not able to return it (i have 3 days left to return it). So on december I will buy it again, hoping defective units are only in the first batch.
iCloud is not free, so if you have a lot of data on your phone you have to subscribe to iCloud and pay for as much as data you have on your phone. I have been backing up my iPhone on my Mac and have never used iCloud subscription. If you are already using iCloud you might be ok. But the technician was explaining that I should NOT restore from iCloud. I should sync with it. If you decide to do it, you might gather a bit more info first.

Yesterday i read somewhere that the US iPhone 15 Pro's is not overheating as much as the European ones.
The EU iPhones have a sim card slot and thats why they get even hotter where the US does not have a sim card slot. I wonder what Apple can do with this issue other that calling them all back and fix it for real.
I'm waiting for my iPhone 15 Pro Max. They say it will be send to me around Oct 30 so i'm really really tempted to cancel the order :(
This is so bad of Apple releasing new iPhone when stuff like this is not really working right. Shame on them.
Usually what is making backup huge is photos and music, you can copy or backup ONLY photo and music on your Mac remove them from your iPhone and then use the iCloud, will it help? What the tech doesn't want is you to d/l all the apps that were on your iPhone and are in the backup, so he suggest to use the sync
Why Apple has not anticipated this problem due to Titanium.
Reducing performance to reduce heat doesn’t make sense and what’s the need to upgrade phone when you downgrade performance.
Steel feels more colder.
Apple’s empire may slowly fall down if this kind of casual approach continues.
I purchased recently 15 pro, updated the software version to 17.1. Still phone is heating like anything.
Removed few Apps including Instagram but no luck.
Really disappointed with iPhone for the first time.
Did everything people said it would help : got the lastest software update, minimize the storage usage, turn off background refresh and turn off phone when it’s overheating but none of those helps. My iPhone 15 pro even gets overheating without charging and only using iMessages, album and setting. Very disappointed. My previous iPhone X performs much better managing the heat. It’s 5 Celsius here but the cold weather couldn’t even cool down the phone.
It's my iPhone 15 Pro's 2nd week with me and I'm happy to report that I haven't experienced any overheating issue. The day after it was delivered it was used to take videos and photos of a 2-hour concert. My friend, who took the videos and photos on my behalf, said there was no overheating whatsoever. I use it daily to check Instagram, X, emails, YouTube, Spotify and it runs normally. I also monitor it when charging but have only experienced the usual warmth level when charging iPhones. Nothing funny and unusual which I'm thankful for.
I just received my iPhone 15 pro max. I updated to 17.1.1. Removed social media apps & turned off background cell data. Each time I rebooted the phone.
it’s still flaming hot. So hot that I can’t hold it in my hands. I’m going to have to turn it off.

What a joke this year’s iPhone is. I mean they released a $1200 phone that can’t stay cool? I know 3 people who have the phone and every single person has the issue. If you stress the phone aka use it extensively it will heat up. Getting close to calling and letting them know this is a complete joke.
