Recently app purchased iPhone 15 Pro I am using charger and cable of iPhone I am feeling more heat while charging the mobile and also playing games to play in Android the phone was not heating that much.

Let’s define “overheating”. If an iPhone overheats it shuts down so it can’t be used, and displays a message saying it must cool down before it can be turned on, and it will probably be unusable for an hour or so. If you are seeing this it is a hardware problem and you should contact Apple support:

If you are not seeing this your phone has not overheated. However, if you fast charge your phone may pause charging at 80% and display a message saying that charging has paused, and will resume when the phone cools down. This is NOT overheating, and is normal when fast charging. It also won’t prevent you from using any app you have on your phone.
Also, some apps that use a lot of energy or that use cellular data rather than Wi-Fi can cause the phone to run warmer.
mate apple is a joke now I am thinking about getting a Huawei or Samsung. Even using it like safari or reading news, small tasks, make it heat like a pan. Apple also has millions of small software glitches on Apple Watches, MacBooks, and iPhone apps. It is all very frustrating.
Me too I bought the new iphone 15 pro... and it is really heating... even I follow the instructions... but still the phone is heating!!! The phone is really expensive!!!
This is new and not yet started to use and now it is overheating!!!

I have recently purchased the iPhone 15 pro. Upon buying as i was setting up the phone i felt that the phone was heating up. After two days of using a realised that the phone is heating up even when i use it for 1 / 2 mins. When will this issue be rectified? Is there any way for me to change the device as i worried abt the safety of using the phone.
My iPhone 15 pro has over heated twice while recording a video. My phone wasn’t charging, I wasn’t in a hot environment, I wasn’t charging my phone before hand, it just overheated to the point where my phone shut down and when I took it out of the case to help cool it with my cars AC, it was so hot I dropped it in my lap. What is going on Apple?
My iPhone 15 Pro Max is getting really hot just by doing simple stuff on it like listening to music or scrolling web pages. My last phone was iPhone 13 Pro Max and I did not have any issues.
Went to the authorised service in my country but they told me there’s nothing they can do since Apple hasn’t agreed there’s a heating problem.
I explained to them that my phone isn’t usable this hot and that my 13 Pro Max is performing much better than my 15 Pro Max to which they stupidly answered me “Those two phones are very different”.
What the ****? I am very disappointed with my purchase. Has anyone received a replacement?
I’m also wondering the same thing. Definitely not normal for a high end phone to burn while browsing or doing casual phone calls.
I have never had such bad experience with iPhones and I’ve had them all.
I purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max, recently from Sharaf DG Dubai. The phone is heating up while kept on charge the battery, similarly in-spite of cold weather and Air Conditioning control of temperature the handset is overheating and the left-side (with volume control button) and body areas below the camera is very overheating up and not comfortable for holding. Similarly, after charging while speaking over the phone it was so heated that can’t be held near the ears, means it was so hot the ears felt burning.
Please update the reasons and how to control this hindrance. It’s really a big suffering.
Just updated my 15P to 17.2 and while browsing on my phone, notices the phone heating up to a concerning temperature. Shut it down to let it cool. Anybody else experiencing the same since updating to 17.2?

I just updated to the 15 yesterday (12/22) & wished I had looked at reviews about this heating issue. Only had the phone for 24 hours and just put it to charge & felt the heat immediately. This is concerning as it wasn’t on the charger ( Apple plug & wire) for more than 5 minutes!

Just got it iphone 15 pro today
It was getting hot while initial setup at the store itself. When I asked they said it's normal during first boot.
Now I am home and just charging without using any battery draining apps

This is a standard drop, charging thousands to give faulty products

This is ridiculous but also does not work. I have 2TB of cloud storage and I bought an iPhone 15 pro max with 512gb of data. Less than 10% of it is used.
Apple, we shouldn’t have to put our phone in the fridge every time we use. I haven’t even finished setting it up yet and it’s 4 times hotter than this iPhone 12 Pro Max I’m typing in now.

I'm using an iPhone 15. I'm using a charging cable from the Apple manufacturer and it's still getting hot. The heat is not only on the phone, there is also heat on the charger adapter. I updated to 17.3 and it's still the same.
Yes mines done same thing. They replaced the battery and the inside and it still is overheating. So they ordered me a new phone still overheating. And now they say I have to send it in and be without a phone for 7 days
