how do I extract data from my iPhone 6 and 6s

I have old iPhone 6 and 6s models that I need to get the data (mostly photos) from. Both phones are not currently working. One needs a new battery and screen and got stuck during a previous update, and the memory is full on the other so it won’t operate. Are there any options?

Clear “System Data”/“Other”:

For this iPhone, hook this up to your computer and see if you can clear what is called “System Data” (formerly called “Other”). Use my User Tip for this: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tip

Three Tips:

A. Sync Through iCloud:

Sign in to the same Apple ID as the one on both iPhones, and then enable Photos in iCloud Settings. Being synced, Photos will be accessible between both the two iPhones and this other device..

On an iPhone:

  1. Click: Settings
  2. Tap: your Name (top item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: [various items Photos] (so that it is green)

B. Check a App on your Computer:

If an app (i.e. Photos) was enabled on your iPhone along with your Apple computer, then check the Photos app on your Mac to see if it exists in it. You'd start up your Mac, not connecting to the Internet, and open the Photos app. Then proceed from there with retrieving it. Important: Be certain you do not connect to the Internet while booting up, as syncing would delete it. So, power off your router to avoid the connection.

C. Check iCloud, Directly:

You can check iCloud, using a Web browser on another device, and see if you can access them that way. For instance, go here for Photoshttps://www.icloud.com/photos
