iOS 17.0.3 Issues

Hey all! I’ve been having a lot of issues on iOS 17.0.3. For reference I have a iPhone 11 and did not have any of these issues on previous iterations of iOS 17. I’ll list some of the issues below.

• Unresponse touch screen (lag and delays)

• Apps unresponsive (freezing & crashing)

• Keyboard lag (I’ll start typing but it takes the phone a few seconds to catch up)

• Stutter when opening app (when I’m switching between apps, there’s a split second of stutter - I want to say this existed in iOS 15 or 16?)

• Paste/select menu does not always pop up… I have to keep pressing on the screen to get the prompt

Anyone else having issues? Feel free to share any other issues you’ve come across. Thanks!

Common Reports:

Everything you've mentioned is commonly reported for iOS17.0.3, particularly after the update it installed on an iPhone 14 or iPhone 15. So, you'll have to wait it out, until more updates are provided...


Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Ditto! This iOS update ruined my iPad. The latest problem is that I can't connect to my wifi. I have tried shutting it down and restarting it... nothing. Prior to this latest issue, it kept crashing on me and had the unresponsive touch screen issues. The battery drains faster, it had the keyboard lag, and since I can't connect to wifi, it won't check for updates anymore. I am SERIOUSLY disgusted with this update. My ipad is virtually useless unless I can figure something out.

17.0.3 iOS is terrible; full of bugs. Txt Msg freeze up periodically for no reason. Auto correct gives jibberish or nonsense corrections. Something had changed with the audio processing & levels. Call audio will periodically breaks up routinely now.

You can’t get cursor to always stay put or in the right place in an edit.

It’s just awful; not a good Apple representation. We’ve got 2 Apple iPhone XR phones a 64 & 128 memory versions & both are doing the above and my son has an iPhone 12 with similar problems!

APPLE NEEDS TO ADDRESS POOR UPDATE PROGRAMMING & TESTING!

I was late to work this morning because my phone decided to go into one of the lag/nonresponsive thing they do in this iOS. I legitimately couldn’t shut off my phone for about 30 min of trying. My logins for work and everything relies on my phone so getting logged into work was really challenging.


This has been an ongoing issue with 17. The other big warning is when the camera and other apps won’t stay open when you try to use them.


When an iOS on an iPhone 13 can keep your alarm from working to wake you is just hard to swallow. Thank goodness my boss is forgiving.

Sure it's been mentioned plenty of times of these forums. Question is: "Just how many people have reported it to Apple?"
