Try a "forced" restart of your device using these instructions: Put it on charge for at least half an hour, then, keeping it plugged in, use these gestures:

In rapid sequence, press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).

If the issue still persists, since your iPhone is still covered by warranty, I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Contact Apple for support and service , or make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

1. Same issue here. Updated iPhone 15 pro last night, now unresponsive screen. Everything else works, including buttons.

Found a fix on another thread that worked!
Doesn't require reset and restore:
On a Mac, Download Apple Configurator from the Mac App Store. If you dont see you may need to update your OS.
2. Open Apple Configurator app and accept license agreement.
3. Plug your phone via USB C into your computer (if there are two ports one article suggested the left most port if you are facing them, not sure if this matters)
4. It will show up that your phone is in "DFU mode"
5. Right click on the DFU icon, click Advanced > Revive Device, then click Revive
6. You will have to click "Allow" several times through the process as it connects and reconnects to the phone, and reinstalls the OS without factory reset, loosing any of your data, etc.

Pretty easy, took about 10-15 minutes, and voila, phone is fixed.
Hope it works for you guys too.

Thanks. after few hour let it with the configurator, it works like a charm.

God bless you.

yup. After hours on the phone and in person with Verizon who could do nothing but offer me a refurbished phone, I took my phone to the Apple Store. They restored it and updated the software onsite and that brought back the touch response. Verizon was useless for this. Don’t waste your time with the phone service company, just go to Apple and have them fix it. I wasted a lot of my time expecting Verizon to take care of me as their customer but they weren’t competent enough to know how which resulted in me just going around in circles with so many of their techs.

the Apple tech stated that this happens when the software updates don’t install all the way or get interrupted. Although, I woke up to my iPhone like this so I’m not sure what interrupted the install. The screen said that the install was complete too 🤷‍♀️

Fyi, finally got the phone to take a restore, but only after a new Mac pro software update (which just showed up) was installed. Only then would it do a restore of the phone. I wish that I had tried a reset instead of restore, but was just too happy to not get the null error that prevented it from doing the restore before. So things I had to do were (1) make sure it was a compatable usb c to usb c cable. Some cables didn't work, (2) then down load the Mac configuator 2 to the mac from the apple store (3) connect the phone to the Mac and do the up button, down button and hold the right button until the picture came up showing the cord going I to the computer (4) update the Mac pro with the latest software patch, (5) then selecting the DFU on the Mac screen and click restore. You can try a reset in the advanced tab of the Mac software. Once restored, I had to restore the phone using a backup from the day before, which took a few hours. Good luck!

The fix is a lot easier than you think

Mine wasn’t completely unresponsive. It would highlight the button I click, but wouldn’t click it unless I double tapped after it was highlighted.

This I assume. Is problem you’re having since I would describe it the same way. If so, here’s how to fix it…

Turn your phone on and keep swiping up until your passcode pops up (If it doesn’t pop up try triple tapping the screen or the swipe up bar at the bottom of the screen)

Tap the first number of your password, it will highlight the number. Then double click on the same number and it will fill out the first number of your code

Then do that for all the rest. All the buttons on your phone will act the same. Click to highlight, then double click to have the button respond

Go into setting and search VoiceOver, again double click after it highlights, then turn it off. After that, you’re all set.

That should fix the issue, it fixed mine. Hopefully this helps

I have a 15 Pro Max and my touch screen locked after updating to 17.3. Totally unresponsive. I can’t even turn the phone off. Used the method posted above using the Apple Configurator app. When tried “revive” from the advanced menu I received an error message half way through and I had to select “stop”. Went to “restore and reset” option. Received a message stating “No updates are available for iPhone. The installed system and apps are already up to date.” Although I received this message the phone was on the Welcome screen as if new. I went to the phone and proceeded to set it up as a new phone. I put it next to my iPad to help with the setup as instructed and used my backup to restore. Now it works. I will state that I’ve had many iPhones over the years and this is the first time this has ever happened.

This definitely isn't just a 17.3 issue. Happened to me back in November when my phone updated to 17.2. I turned off auto updates after I was able to get it working again. I have not updated and it just happened to me again. Screen wouldn't shut off after receiving notifications even though all my settings were correct. I turned the phone off and back on again to the screen no longer working.....again.

The Apple Configurator Revive option fixed it the first time. Currently trying it again. Apple needs to issue a recall on these phones because there is an obvious hardware issue here. iPhone 15 Pro Max 1T

The only thing you can do is schedule an appointment with an apple care provider ( Best Buy, or The Apple Store. )They can restore it on their data transfer machine, aside from that depends on your phone service. They might offer you a really awesome refurbished downgraded phone at your own expense. I went to best buy after I had to schedule an appointment and they had it restored in 3:30 hours.
