Same issue. New Iphone 15 pro. Said there was an update last night. I clicked install, and now the touchscreen doesnt work, and I've restarted it like 30 times with the up volume, down volume and the right button through the apple logo, and connected it to my computer where it shows up as DFU and I tried everything and it says it cant be reset or restored. This sounds like a pretty big issue to me that Apple should be paying attention to before the plaintiff's bar sniffs it out.

I have a 15 Pro Max and my touch screen locked after updating to 17.3. Totally unresponsive. I can’t even turn the phone off. Used the method posted above using the Apple Configurator app. When tried “revive” from the advanced menu I received an error message half way through and I had to select “stop”. Went to “restore and reset” option. Received a message stating “No updates are available for iPhone. The installed system and apps are already up to date.” Although I received this message the phone was on the Welcome screen as if new. I went to the phone and proceeded to set it up as a new phone. I put it next to my iPad to help with the setup as instructed and used my backup to restore. Now it works. I will state that I’ve had many iPhones over the years and this is the first time this has ever happened.

I Am writing the text on my minor daughter’s behalf, I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and she has the iPhone 15 Pro. Yesterday I saw she hadn’t updated it, so I updated it, it completed it’s update and restarted. I charged it overnight for today, but then this morning the screen was locked and unresponsive to touch. I have restarted it multiple times, however it’s still unresponsive. What am I supposed to do now?

The only thing you can do is schedule an appointment with an apple care provider ( Best Buy, or The Apple Store. )They can restore it on their data transfer machine, aside from that depends on your phone service. They might offer you a really awesome refurbished downgraded phone at your own expense. I went to best buy after I had to schedule an appointment and they had it restored in 3:30 hours.

I’m just going from what apple services told me lol, right before they took

My phone they specifically asked and said “ have you tried restoring it any other way than just from iTunes, if you have then this restore probably won’t work and you need to be prepared for other solutions “ I told them yes I had hooked it up to a pc to attempt a restore but in my situation the phone wasn’t reading the usbc either. Only way I could charge it even frozen was to MagSafe it. They were very clear it’s best to leave it to them or to restore yourself iTunes only.

Same issues here guys. Got my IPhone 15 Pro yesterday and last night I started having issues with the keyboard lagging and not responding to my finger when I would tap things. I would have to tap 3&4 times for it to recognize. I followed the Apple Configurator steps to revive it and IT IS WORKING again! Same software is still in place and I did not lose any of my stuff!! Give it a try!

The fix is a lot easier than you think

Mine wasn’t completely unresponsive. It would highlight the button I click, but wouldn’t click it unless I double tapped after it was highlighted.

This I assume. Is problem you’re having since I would describe it the same way. If so, here’s how to fix it…

Turn your phone on and keep swiping up until your passcode pops up (If it doesn’t pop up try triple tapping the screen or the swipe up bar at the bottom of the screen)

Tap the first number of your password, it will highlight the number. Then double click on the same number and it will fill out the first number of your code

Then do that for all the rest. All the buttons on your phone will act the same. Click to highlight, then double click to have the button respond

Go into setting and search VoiceOver, again double click after it highlights, then turn it off. After that, you’re all set.

That should fix the issue, it fixed mine. Hopefully this helps

Wow....updated mine to 17.4 last night before going to bed. Early this morning it was a brick. Good, I saw your post.

Followed it step by step. After working on it for a few hours, it's now back to where it was. What took longer was forgetting the encrypted backup password. Anything important app like banking, had to re-key in the credentials.

Anyways mitchbee I just wanted to thank you, it saved one **** of a headache.
