Issues after updating to iOS 17.4.1

Same as others here. After update I’m not able to use data from 5G. Spent almost 2 hours in the ATT store and they couldn’t fix it. They said I have to wait until Apple sends out the fix. So in the meantime I have no phone, etc.

iphone 15 ProMax new. Now works horribly! Update has major data issues! I can’t load a page. Wifi connectivity issues and apparently I’m not getting texts. It’s been less than a day, so we shall see what other screw ups this update caused! Help! Think it cause an issue with my Apple Watch too.

Have you tried installing the newer build update of 17.4.1 on a PC/Mac (this is only available via the device app (Windows Store) or iTunes Mac etc.)? Does that help to restore the mobile data connection?

I had the same issue for three days; my Mobile data was not working. I tried so many different things to try and fix it, such as restarting my mobile; resting network settings; forgetting wifi network. As a last resort before contacting Apple I turned my off and left it over night, and somehow that seemed to work! I’ve not seen this recommended anywhere else, so it might be worth a try.

I was so angry about this update issues. CarPlay visible but not working. I couldn’t make calls or texts unless it was to another iPhone user. I had restarted my phone twice, no help. I turned phone off and left it off for 2 hours. Turned it back on and everything was working as normal!

After the update, I no longer receive MMS from android through WiFi. HAS to be cellular data (didn’t have that issue for years).

my voice to text no longer works.

siri no longer works unless I hold the power button.

so far those are my every day things I use on a regular basis which I no longer can.

Since the update, the only issue I’ve noticed (so far) is one in which my podcasts app keeps crashing. I spent over an hour talking to an Apple support specialist trying various solutions (offloading the app, turning my phone off and back on, then reinstalling the app). When I asked the support person if anyone else was having the same issue, he said no one that he had talked to. So he recommended backing up my phone, resetting everything to factory settings, and then doing a reinstall. Of course, I had to buy more iCloud storage so now Apple is getting even more money from me every month. After climbing the nearest hill and emitting my loudest primal scream possible, I took his advice. It worked fine for one day. Now I’m having the same problem. What a s**t show. Really considering going back to an android where I had none of these issues. My first iPhone may be my last. I think it’s time for another primal scream.

This morning an app went unresponsive and could not use screen to close it. Decided to switch off the iPhone 14 Pro but it wouldn’t work and then decided to dial SOS emergency services instead. Had to use Siri to shut off the phone.

I had this issue and was able to fix it by doing a hard reset on my iPhone. Had to look it up, but you quickly press the volume up button and the volume down button and hold the power button until the device powers off. It's allowed me camera access on apps for now. Hoping it continues!

after updating my phone seems stuck, I make whatsapp calls and the other person cant hear me for around 10-15 secs , i try to type when I search on safari but it wont let me do anything.. i have iphone 12 , apple you should really advice on not updating older iphones

Since the new update peoples pictures and locations keep disappearing, I’ll restart my phone and it’s there for a second then picture and location goes away again. However in the find my app their location is always there but it doesn’t show in their contact card nor their location under their name.

after the recent update my phone has only displayed LTE when on mobile data i have dont everything ; turned it off and on again, looked for more updates, i have even changed my sim to a new data provider and now i’m paying for data i can’t use because this update has ruined it . iphone needs to send out a new update fixing all these issues.

Im having the exact same problem. After the update, it seems all my settings for camera access changed, but when i go to settings, it appears that they are all allowed, so it doesnt make sense. All of my apps are now asking me for permission every tome i open them… And the app on my phone that has my contacts no linger shows the spit for conacts… it just disappeared. Also, my ohone no longer wants to communicate with my tesla, which it always had been doubg with bo problem. I have to force it to recognize me by ipening up mt tesla app and starting my car every time. Its so weird. What happened and how can i fix it!!!!!

After the update to 17.4.1, IOS is no longer converting HEVC (h.265) videos to h.264 when uploading them to a PC, even though I have compatible format set. Apple claims it's a Microsoft issue, but I can clearly see the difference in the files when I retransfer movies that had been uploaded before the upgrade. They are no longer converting h.264 To prove the issue, I airdrop the same .mov files to an old phone without IOS update, and they convert just fine when uploading. The airdrop is my workaround for now, but If Apple doesn't own up to this and fix this in a future release, I'll have to turn off high efficiency camera setting on my phone. The heic pictures are still converting to JPG just fine, for now anyways. Anyone else experiencing this?

My cellular data also stopped working with the 17.4.1 (21E236) update. I was told in-store it would be $500 to fix. This is the third time I have had an iOS update destroy an iPhone. Very frustrating and disappointing.
