Issues after updating to iOS 17.4.1

Hi Guys. After updating my iphone to the latest 17.4.1, i am facing several issues in the last 4-5 days,

  1. The contact poster of my contacts is not being displayed whenever i am making the call or receiving a call from them. It just shows a black background.
  2. The pedometer in iphone is not working properly. I go for a walk daily in the morning and the same distance before was shown around 4 Kms, now it is showing 2.5 or 3 Kms, and this issue is also consistent. There is something seriously wrong with the steps being counted.
  3. Battery drain has also increased by around 10-15% more than what it used to be. Even if my phone is sitting idle, it loses battery at a much faster rate than what was before.

I don't know if anyone else is facing these issues, but these issues are consistently there for me and are not resolved by restarting the phone (which i did several times).

The same happened to me. All of my calendar entries are gone.

Started with my morning alarm going off and not being able to shut it off. Then an app I use to remind myself to drink water sent a reminder, then the same one over and over and over again. When I tried to turn my phone off I got the spinning wheel of death. When my phone finally came back the screen didn’t work. Once I was able to a a restart (left top button, left bottom button and then right button ) access to the screen came back but every calendar entry was gone.

Yeah the latest ios has too many bugs. I guess apple was just addressing the security concerns with this update but forgot to keep a basic check on impact to other functions or hardware of the devices. My phone’s earpiece is not working since I have updated to 17.4.1. I do not see any other reason for it not working, the day before update my earpiece was working perfectly fine the next morning when the phone got updated successfully it stopped working.

Hi To Whom it May Concern,

I'm having the following issues after the latest update of iOS 17.4.1 on my mobile: my read messages in Teams keep marked as Unread all the time, atfer re-opening and re-marking the messages as read. Continously. It's so annoying that I am seriously considering buying another device. (that is NOT an IPhone!)

If you have any suggestion how to solve this issue, please do tell! Thanks!

I’ve experienced a similar with this update on my iPad Air M1 and it’s the first time I’ve had one. Safari is wonky and has difficulty connecting to wi-fi because it has a spinny at the top next to the wi-fi icon. I’ve tried switching to a lower band on my router and back, but that didn’t help. I’ve closed Safari and reopened it, no help. I’m told we can roll back updates but must do so while connected to a PC, how convenient, there may be more information on this with a Google search but I'm not that desperate yet. The one improvement I've noticed is that Siri seems to work better suddenly. Before it would keep saying 'something went wrong' when I'd tell it to reboot the system. This does help me! It's a crummy solution but try that before doing anything extreme like rolling the update back. I'm fairly sure Apple knows there are these issues as this update fixed serious vulnerabilities and we know what that means, stuff will get screwed up trying to fix it and we've seen this. If you can hold off and wait for the next update as I plan to do, this may be the best bet, otherwise, I wish you well in trying a rollback assuming you have a PC to use for it. It can be done but they haven't made this a simple process, at least not yet and I hope they consider better ways to make that happen.
