Issues after updating to iOS 17.4.1

Hi Guys. After updating my iphone to the latest 17.4.1, i am facing several issues in the last 4-5 days,

  1. The contact poster of my contacts is not being displayed whenever i am making the call or receiving a call from them. It just shows a black background.
  2. The pedometer in iphone is not working properly. I go for a walk daily in the morning and the same distance before was shown around 4 Kms, now it is showing 2.5 or 3 Kms, and this issue is also consistent. There is something seriously wrong with the steps being counted.
  3. Battery drain has also increased by around 10-15% more than what it used to be. Even if my phone is sitting idle, it loses battery at a much faster rate than what was before.

I don't know if anyone else is facing these issues, but these issues are consistently there for me and are not resolved by restarting the phone (which i did several times).

Since the update to 17.4.1 on my IP12 i can't get my videos to convert in h264 like before when i transfer them with usb on the pc, now it is always in h265, even with all "compatiblity" selected, which most of the used PCs can't play ...

I hope this get's fixed in short time, I'm making repair-videos, and my storage on the Phone is nearly full ...

I'm working on different PCs, and to convert them on every single one of them is no option ...

Has someone else the same issue?

I have an iPad (7th generation) and I finally managed to make room for the huge 17.4.1 update and immediately I cannot connect to Wifi OR my iPhone's hotspot (my iPhone 12 mini took the update fine). I do not have cell plan for my iPad so these are the only ways I can connect to the internet so obviously I'm stuck. The one fix I have found on here, turning off VPN, does not work.

Is there anyway to undo the update? My text messages get frozen and won’t let me click on anything or text. My camera wouldn’t allow apps to work like Uber. Also someone started to use my debit card, don’t know if the update caused my phone to be comprised. The phone stops working or responding to touch. My messenger app stays frozen. I have uninstall and reinstall all these apps and they stop don’t work.. this is a terrible updated the worse bugs I have ever had after any update… very disappointed about this…

4 days ago, I had to download new iOS software 17.4.1 in order to download the Ford Pass app. The moment the 17.4.1 software completed uploading, my phone slowed to a crawl and has not worked properly since. Before I downloaded the new iOS software, my phone was working great. Now nothing but problems - Dropped calls, limited to no Internet access, poor signal 1-2 bars regardless of where I am, web page not found, and battery is quick to drain. What’s going on with this? Anybody else having the same problems? I thought Apple just got done paying a large fine for playing games with peoples phones. Are we back to that same mischievous way of doing business? Nobody should have to buy a new $1,000 phone simply because a manufacturer decides to develope new software that makes old phones obsolete. I would like to see Apple focus their brain power on software instead of making fancy updates and new phones. It’s not right.

Extremely frustrated. What’s worse is the customer service fixing this issue. If it’s an out of country service call they have no clue onto fix it and waste your time trying to figure it out. When I had the issue before and obtained an American worker they fixed it in 10 minutes. Just ridiculous how much we pay for service and get bs results when things go wrong.

My text messages do not display properly and also I lost a single note. My phone also automatically updated when I had told it not to. It was an automatic update and I had download only turned on for 10 months. All of a sudden I caught it updating one morning and stopped it. My phone hasn’t worked properly since I did everything they instructed me to do short of restoring it from an iCloud backup, which means I need to buy another device in order to update it and restore it? It is the only way you can see your iCloud backups to restore to a past iCloud backup versus an iTunes back up. Not sure why Apple releases updates that don’t have proper documentation to support it and when you call online for support, they stop short of telling you how to see your iCloud backups even if you’re sharing your screen. The fact that they are altering text messages for people who use text messages to refer back to points that they’re discussing is not only disheartening, but also confusing to a user that used to having their phone work a certain way.

My only solution is to buy a phone, or make a backup and restore this one, but you’re supposed to have another device which gives you a code so that you can get into your own back up, which is ridiculous. Does anybody have a phone to operate from and not an additional device to complete the process?

I’m also noticing a lot of issues with this iOS like severe battery drain safari browser, freezing, and crashing slow and laggy home screen text to speech not working properly and this is happening on all Apple devices right now running this version, including iPad the Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, and sometimes the Wi-Fi goes out for a while while the Wi-Fi bars are gray and keep getting spam with the cellular data is off warning every time it happens even though I don’t have it really not impressed apples having lots of issues with their devices right now and don’t seem to be taking it that serious
