Issues after updating to iOS 17.4.1

I have experienced many issues including these above. My iphone 14 updated to iso17.4.1 and will not allow access to my pictures to any apps. The phone shows no data left and works at minimal. The update has created connection issues with my home wifi and phone. I had to delete files to use phone (i only deleted two) and now it shows 54GB/128GB. The update has taken away access to my location and motion in my driving apps and now I'm losing my discount. My calendar will not let me accept new events, and the option to uninstall latest update is not available. Also when sending a email the option to insert picture is no longer available. Main issues seem to be will Privacy and Security options.

-unable to share location, motion, pictures, access to my storage from phone to apps, wifi connection, storage error.

I use my phone for everything and need these issues fixed!

I am experiencing numerous glitches in addition to the ones you’ve reported. On iOS 17.4.1 and iPhone 14 Pro I am unable to use the power off menu. There is a visual glitch where the options are stacked atop one another instead of properly spaced. The screen becomes unresponsive. When after a few mins I can swipe up to leave the power down screen, no icons work. All apps register a tap with a visual flash but none open. Settings app won’t open either. When I pull down to search my last search is stuck in an unusable search bar. Before it enters this state of unresponsiveness, I have noticed degradation to battery, copy paste, and cell/wifi connectivity. Screenshotting is disabled in this state as well.

To anyone stuck like me: the manual force shutdown still works — tap volume up, volume down, hold the side button down until the Apple logo appears.

I had an issue with my notifications and had to do a wipe, this happened right after updating to 17.4.1 on 14+.

got my notifications back and now I can’t connect to Bluetooth - won’t pick up any devices.

My dictation is all over the map! Typically it misses the first couple of words it will also miss huge chunks in the middle of a paragraph. Just stop dictating and then suddenly throw the last word I said. Sometimes it will randomly double up on words for no reason. punctuation is pretty much nonexistent. Often when I start dictating if I pause for more than 1 second it just stops listening and I have to press the microphone again. Translation is terrible full of errors, sometimes uses words never in my life. AutoCorrect not even close!

when I’m trying to edit a text, it’s increasingly more difficult to get the cursor where I want to.

also I’ve noticed when you swipe down from the upper right hand corner to turn your volume up down dramatically it will automatically reset it if you swipe it too fast to turn my volume up six times it’s very frustrating, but the speak to text dictation is the worst I use it constantly and now I have to proofread every single thing. and I have been able to speak a few sentences and send them without making several corrections! Totally unacceptable. Seriously tho, my girlfriend and I do not speak the same language and speak to text in a few different translator apps all day every day to communicate, this update is making my life difficult! Between the correct mistakes, and the constant lagging and freezing and pausing it just takes forever to have a simple conversation.

I wish I could redo the upgrade too! In fact, I went to the Apple store today to try to do just that.

Since I upgraded yesterday, I have spent many hours troubleshooting and going through all the settings to see what new add-ons I was unaware of.

The biggest problem for me is the Contacts -- aesthetically and functionally. The background and layout of each Contact look ugly. Not to mention that for some reason, the developers flip-flopped placement of the Speaker and Mute buttons; my hands automatically go to the side they were on before, only to remember the side has switched. It's like learning to drive on the left side of the road if you're American.

Anyone experiencing ghost touch/clicking and/or frozen screen after updating?

This is my main problem and it started right after the automatic update. Phone will start doing whatever it wants without my command and then other times it will not respond at all to swiping or clicking. So aggravating!

I'm on an XR.

Opposite of the other comment, my WiFi is no longer working. It says I am connected to it in the settings, yet my top bar will not show that I am connected to WiFi and multiple apps will no longer open on my phone due to an immediate “network is unreliable, try again later” error. Multiple apps used for my mental health no longer work due to this which is very stressful.

I cannot grant access to my camera or photos after updating to 17.4.1, there is no option on any apps to add access to photos so I can no longer use the apps because I can’t publish any content from my photo album! It keeps directing me to my settings but I can’t allow access so I’m dead-ended.

After ios iphone update 17.4.1 I no longer have access to windows 11 shared folders via the Files App and my iphone no longer powers down normally. I am forced to press the up volume, down volume, and then press and hold the power on/off button.

I’ve got this issue too! No 4G capabilities meaning no incoming or outgoing phone calls, no mms, no personal hotspot etc. most expensive brick I’ve ever owned and I despise having to continue to pay for something that doesn’t work

I’m actually also facing issues with my watch and not being able to use cellular data on that either. I don’t know if that’s from the iOS update on the watch or directly linked with the iOS update on the phone but either way I’m not happy

After updating my brand new iPad bought on the same day to iOS 17.4.1, I had screen lines start appearing in a glitchy way. I turned it in as a hardware fault and got a replacement, now I will not update my iPad anymore.

My phone double types each voice to text message. Misses words and then suddenly throws them in mid sentence. It will repeat the message and resend it multiple times. My kid asked if I was having s stroke it is so bad. Cant make or take calls either. Nobody can hear me or the calls drop and fail.

IT IS TERRIBLE. I can barely use my phone since it restarts non-stop! I cannot delete, save or upload photos. I cannot even screenshot anything. Also, My icon apps are all invisible - I need to just guess what app it is I’ll be trying to click because the screen is just blank. I cannot find my contacts. Sometimes it disconnects the Wi-Fi. My phone is like useless basically. How Will they fix this??? This is my work phone and I have so many important files here and photos.

Is anyone else experiencing disabled personal hotspot after software update? "Personal Hotspot" used to be below the "Cellular" (when its turned on) but now it moved inside "Cellular" in between bunch of apps. And to top all that, when I click it, it just loads FOREVER. I hope they fix this fast
