iPhone 16 Pro Max - Touch Screen Sensitivity Issues

I am also having the same issue. The touch sensitivity clearly is low compared to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Also the same issues with missed touches. Can’t imagine keeping this phone if this issue is not resolved in a week.

Rather keep my iPhone 13 Pro Max with **** battery than to deal with such a horrible touch

Having the same issue with the touch sensitivity. It’s so annoying when typing or just simply scrolling. I tried with and without screen protector and nothing changed.

I could totally notice the delay, it’s not just around the capture button area btw , it’s noticeable all through the screen.

Having the exact same issue. I have changed to multiple different screen protectors and even tried the phone without them. Same problem. Changed from and iPhone 13 Pro Max to the 16 pro max and it’s like it’s missing inputs when typing on the keyboard and when tapping things on any apps

I have a 13 pro max as well and am running into the same issue. Makes it difficult to type on. I still have my 13 so I can tell a night and day difference in real time between the two phones. Hopefully Apple fixes this soon.

it is obnoxious and really makes you feel you made a mistake. The phone in general is really slow and freezes like if it was 5 years old

I traded in my 12 Pro Max and this is why googled if anyone else was having this issue. My touches aren’t being recognized as good and I feel like I have to press harder for everything to be typed correctly. I thought I had a faulty phone. Hopefully it is a software issue.

Same for me too. I went from a 14 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max and was totally unsure if it is a screen protector issue. I removed the protector and the „problem“ is still there 😳.

Comparing the sensitivity on the 14 Pro Max and the 16 Pro Max, the deference is clear and notable. The screen on the 14 Pro Max is far sensitive/reliable as on the 16 Pro Max.

im having the same issue on my new iphone 16 pro max but its doing it very often. when swiping up or typing or trying to open apps i hope its a software issue and they fix it if not im taking it to apple store and let them see whats wrong with it hardware wise.

i just bought 16 pro max, and having issue in touch delay, especially on the top left corner when i am pressing the back button, decided to google it up, glad to know i m not alone. hope its not hardware issue

Same experience here coming from the 14 Pro max. It's disappointing core features of the device don't work properly while frivolous features are prioritized.

Silence on this topic is not helpful. I'll be returning the device and going back to my 14 Pro Max if this is not addressed soon.

My new Apple 16 Pro Max has the same delay problems as the other 300 plus folks.

No wonder Apple is wondering why no one wants to waste their time and money upgrading their phones!! Apple has sure been going down hill since the new CEO has been on board the company.

Went from a iphone 13 pro to the 16 pro max and its so delayed in typing and tapping on the screen, picked up my wife's 13 and its a night and day difference. This needs to be fixed now as i have a 1200 dollar paper weight.

Having the same problem with and without a screen protector! Very frustrating. Really hope Apple address this. Most noticeable when typing, things almost seem to start lagging a bit, and sometimes my key presses just straight up don’t register

Got my new phone today and also updated the software but the touchscreen issue still persists. Can’t even type this out properly. Everything is lagging. And the screen just randomly doesn’t respond at times. Switched from a 15 pro max and traded in my phone. And now I’m super disappointed if this doesn’t get fixed.
