I am using iPhone 13 and recently I have updated to iOS 18.0. Since that day, maps are showing blank on the car when I connect through the Apple CarPlay, and a message is displayed after a few minutes on the car screen stating the location information is not available. When I start the car immediately maps are turning to blank on the car display.

I tried all tips and recommendations. The problem with CarPlay is a failure of IOS 18 and iOS 18.01 updates that @Apple needs to fix.
i have my IPhone 15 updated with iOS 18.0.1 and the Apple CarPlay is not working in my Mazda car. Every time I start the car, the carplay doesn’t connet through bluetooth. If I delete the phone and connect it manually, it works but after I turn off the car and start it again, the same happens. The Carplay doesn’t work by bluetooth.
Same! I’ve tried everything and nothing works.
Update ****My connection to CarPlay came back today. I have not been able to connect since I changed from iPhone 11 to the 16. Today a message came up asking me to accept terms and conditions for using CarPlay appeared on my car screen (Cadillac) I agreed, it loaded and connected without issue.
This is the same issue I'm experiencing. Bluetooth connection between my iPhone 15 Pro and Toyota Multimedia System pairs okay, but Apple Car Play fails to enable and will only work if I connect my phone via USB. This only started happening after updating to IOS 18.0.1 - very frustrating having spent quite a bit of time re-pairing and restarting both devices.
VPNs are one of those overhyped so-called security applications that cause more trouble than they are worth.
i have the IPhone 15 & since updating to IOS 18 two days ago my CarPlay has failed to work at all. I drive a 23 Mach E & never had a problem connecting to CarPlay until the update. This is extremely frustrating as I rely on Maps a lot for travel for work. Not good.
Its not the Chevy, mine worked perfectly fine running on IOS 17.
after apple created and released IOS 18 now car play is useless system constantly reboots infotainment constantly reboots.

My CarPlay won't work and gets stuck in a loop. I plug in my iPhone, it says CarPlay is connected, I click the CarPlay icon on my car screen and it goes black. Then it will disconnect, go back to the Home Screen on my car, reconnect, go black, and so on and so on. And I just recently updated to 18.1 and it still doesn't work. Please fix this!

On phone with Apple person today for 30 minutes. After update yesterday, no more Car Play. Updated again today 18.1-no Car Play. Help!!
i have iPhone 16pro max with iOS 18 and the sound quality is disgusting. Radio quality. Also, I loose my satellite radio when plugging in to CarPlay, music and audio just shuts off constantly. Have to unplug wire and reconnect. There are times when I’ll be in CarPlay mode and all of a sudden everything just switches automatically back to my satellite radio without warning. This is a major flaw in this update that needs immediate attention. It’s not safe when you depend on a hands-free experience when driving, especially when using maps or hands-free Communication.
This was happening to me as well! So frustrating! Today I did the update to the iOS 18.1 and was hopeful. I plugged my phone in again with the cord & the screen went blank again 🥲 then, I unpaired my vehicles Bluetooth and re paired it and so far it hasn’t done it since!!! Fingers crossed! Try it & see if it works for you.
I use a 2024 Mazda SUV. But before the IOS 18.0 18.01 updatws, CarPlay worked perfectly by wifi (without a wire). After those updates, it is only working wired. I tried all tips and recomendar iOS and nothing has fixed it. The problem is not of the vehicule but of Apple IOS updates. Apple should fix it.
