Apple CarPlay Not Working in iOS 18.0

I found a fix I bought a Otto u2 air pro wireless adapter and it has fixed the problem

Get a genuine apple cord! That fixes the car play problem!

Only works when my iPhone 13 is locked and dark.

It even doesn't work, when it' s only locked.

It has to be dark (use the power button once shortly), too!

As soon as I (want to) unlock my phone (and the display is back again) , all function of car-play are blocked and out of function.

Yes, exactly! I will share I was able to sort of get Apple CarPlay to work by purchasing a wireless adapter for the vehicle for USB plug-in. I’m not a huge fan, but it works. It’s quirky, but at least the music works and maps, etc. I did notice that you have to press the speaker button on the steering wheel in order for it to un glitch. It’s still goes in and out occasionally, so far I’m getting about 75% of the usage I want.

THIS solved my issue of the Carplay not being receptive to commands and inconsistently playing only through my 2 front speakers. I have my sub and bass back after an agonizing 2 weeks after the IOS 18.01 update:

Here's all i did .. Enable your "content and Privacy restrictions" (Mine was off) under your iphone settings. I did this and tried to replicate all the issues for an hour and they never resurfaced. FIngers crossed this works!! Let me know

The only way I can get it to work is by using a wireless Bluetooth adapter for CarPlay. We shouldn’t have to buy something to be able to fix this issue because Apple should fix the bug but I’ll do it lol highly recommend getting a wireless adapter🙂
