iPhone 16 pro yellowish display tint

I bought my iPhone 16 pro as an upgrade to my 12pro last week. I noticed that my iPhone has a yellowish display tint. Even with True Tone off and night mode off. I love the feel of this phone but the whites being yellow throws my experience off. I had to manually adjust color tints to get it to a richer white. So far it’s ok, but for the price tag $1099.99 I would expect this phone to be flawless in regards to display at least. Please Apple make a software update that will address this issue, I don’t want to gamble on exchanging for a new 16pro.

Similar situation for me, upgrading from 11 to 16 PM.

First thing I notice (dark mode) is the darkish colours had a reddish tinge to them.

I changed the screen saver to the same grey moon on my previous phone and the difference was huge.

11 had a neutral grey and the 16PM was MUCH warmer in colour. When I tilted the phone (top towards me) and looked at the moon picture it went a very cool bluish tint.

I'd read somewhere there was an apple statement on the OLEd displays saying it's an inherent property of OLED displays that they change colour with viewing angle.

So, I took it in the the apple store to compare with the display models. These did not have any issues at all!

So I sent mine back (bought online). Now I don't know what to do.

I might buy one from the store and set it up in the store, then compare with the display models, if it has an issue I'll reject it without all the faff.

Problem is they are on back order for two weeks now.

I tried that when I first got the phone and it never looked good and I tried many settings. Apples needs an OLED screen. My Sony OLED TV right out of the box had a perfect color balance. LG OLED are good too but their screens were too crisp and they are set up for game play. With the high prices of these Iphones It is funny how Apple cannot get it. It seems the yellow tint on my phone has calmed down a bit but it should had never been an issue when I bought it. The screen on my IPad pro was just fine out of the box. I do not understand why they cannot get the color balance of their Iphones correctly.

I just got the iPhone 16 Pro Max and was so exited because one of my favorite things when getting the new iPhone is seeing how pungent the colors are always on my upgrade but this time I am so disappointment and annoyed how the screen is more yellow and less pungent than my iPhone 14 Pro Max! Apple fix this ASAP!!!
