Unable to stream videos on Netflix or Amazon using my iPhone 16 Pro Max

I haven't been able to stream videos on Netflix or amazon.

Selecting a video gets loading spinner on the screen and after some time Error is displayed

Cannot play title. Please try again later (CM: 42709)

On amazon prime, it throws error code 5001

Have tried deleting the app and reinstalling, restarting the phone. I don't want to perform hard reset.

I ported my data over from my old iphone to this and its so annoying that after spending so much money, these pity issues are present in iOS.

Finally the issue is fixed with 18.3.2 update.. must have been bug on iOS but they never admitted it… I hope it should be fixed for others too post upgrade

What kind of solution is this? Doesn't work either case or even when I am on mobile network. Please don't answer just to close the thread unless you have some meaningful solution to the problem

I am LITERALLYYYY having the same exact problem! None of my platforms work on this new phone! Hulu. Netflix and peacock smh.

All working fine for me.

You should try some troubleshooting on your phone to fix your issue.

I’m on iOS 18.3.1 on iPhone 14 with no software update available. I’ve been checking daily for any iOS or app update. Sadly, Netflix is still not working.

I just got an iPhone 16 and I’m having this same issue. Everyone of my streaming apps I’m getting a playback error. And support isn’t helping any!

Netflix & Prime Video no longer work after my new iPhone 16. (IOS 18.3.1). Error messages every time.

I’ve reinstalled & restarted everything w/ no updates avail. and still nothing.

Latest update broke all video streaming. Videos won’t play on apps or even trying to go through the webpage version.
