IOS 7 wallpaper resizing will not shrink photo to fit screen...

After update, wallpaper stretchs larger than image. Unable to resize smaller to fit screen. My photo only measures 24k @ 261x231 and is HUGE; bigger than the screen can accommodatem (shrink). Cannot resize smaller to fit screen. Any ideas/suggestions? I have tried resizing my photo (smaller crop in size and dimensions) and photos render too large for screen. Cannot resize smaller to fit. I know I am repeating myself. Just to be clear. Am I doing something incorrectly in IOS 7? Any ideas/suggestions or similar problems solving input would be appreciated.

Knicks.....this is a problem for both iPhone and iPad. I can't believe that Apple is ignoring this bug fix. But if I've said it once to everyone posting on this thread, I've said it a thousand times, take your complaint directly to the source:

That's the iphone feedback link. iPad users, just replace iphone with ipad.

REPORT THIS PROBLEM.

APPLE: FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!

...most concerning of all has been the statements from various support staff I have come into contact with that these discussion forums are never read by Apple... Where else could a business tap into a huge, free resource that provides them with volumes of customer feedback on every aspect of every device they sell? A resource that actually tells them what their customers want and provides a massive bug-reporting database! In my experience the information contained in these particular discussion groups would be worth a fortune to any business that took an interest in their customers. Apple, as all their support staff constantly remind us, do NOT pay attention to what is written here... speaks volumes.

This solution is super easy and fast and works great for me! Find the picture that you want to make as your wallpaper. Save the picture to your camera roll. Then find the picture there and tap the screen to get rid of the solid white lines on the top and bottom. Screen shot the picture. Then find the screen shot of the picture and make that your wallpaper. Worked great for me!

Bonnie....God bless you, but you are pretty far behind the curve. This suggestion has been offered up dozens of times in the 43 pages of responses so far. What I might suggest to everyone is that these workarounds are not worthy of fixing the problem. What IS worthy is a constant stream of suggestions to Apple to FIX the problem. This wasn't an issue before the IOS upgrade. It IS an issue now for millions of people. Workarounds and apps aren't the solution . The solution should be Apple listening to its customers (that's us, people!) and FIXING THE PROBLEM.

And by popular demand, one more time: I have heard from a number of equally-ticked off iphone or ipad users that they enjoyed my tongue-in-cheek suggestion about how to handle this issue. So I offer it up again.

For everyone with an iPad, I have another solution. Take your pictures upsdide down. Then rotate them 10-degrees opposite from the gravitational pull of the earth. Take a screenshot. Then invert the image in iPhoto, submit it to Instagram but route it through Facebook. Take whichever photo comes through smaller and resize that into approximately what you think is a third the size of the screen. Take another screenshot and repeat the process. After an hour or so, you should have a photo you like. Or, maybe not.

For everyone with an iPhone, reverse the process. Except the repeat part.""

When I referred to a workaround, I should have specifically answered GRPRICE. My earlier post just a few minutes ago in this thread was to Bonnie. The amazing thing here, and what blows me away, is that so many people like us are ticket off at Apple and continually post to this thread, and others like it. The response from Apple so far? NOTHING. 0 RESPONSE = APATHY. I'm disgusted with Apple.
